SAS Teradata Consultant
Duration: 12 months Contract (with high possibilities of extension)
Location: Plano, TX / Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)
Must have :
SAS, Teradata, SQL query, PL/SQL Or Python, Spark and Hadoop its a huge plus
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's in computer science or related field
  • 7+ years of software development experience
  • Strong experience in complex SQL query, PL/SQL programming,
  • Strong software design, build, test and documentation skills
  • Proven track record in project delivery in an Agile environment
  • Excellent organization and team skills
  • Fast learner, work under minimal supervision
  • Able to communicate effectively across varied areas including technology, business and leadership
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Ability to guide multiple technology onsite/offshore team members
  • Candidate with strong business analyst experience will also be considered
  • Good in software development using SAS, Teradata and Unix scripting
  • Experience in Python, Spark and Hadoop will be an advantage
  • Good knowledge of the banking products, operational process and end-to-end transaction flow
  • Knowledge in Anti-Money Laundering domain will be an advantage
  • Able to gather and interpret data requirements, research and analysis, business design, data mapping, develop data sourcing and transaction monitoring solutions

Description:
  • Analyze, design, develop, enhance and support applications that integrate with existing business components utilizing established processes, frameworks, and technologies.
  • Develop and support existing and new project requirements, including coordinating with business to understand requirements, and analyzing potential impact of implementing change requests.
  • Perform tasks to comprehensively analyze application and process issues, including problem identification, communication and coordination with customer-facing support teams.
  • Regularly communicate work progress with management, identifying issues early and resolving them quickly to avoid or minimize impact to projects.
  • Ability to learn business processes and apply that knowledge to assigned tasks.
