Job description

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst with strong SAS programming and SQL skills to transform complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with business acumen to deliver meaningful analysis and recommendations.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and passionate about using data to solve complex business problems. Must be comfortable working both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain SAS programs for automated reporting and advanced statistical analysis
  • Create and optimize SAS stored procedures and views for improved data accessibility
  • Maintain and develop data interfaces
  • Troubleshoot system and batch processing
  • Design and execute complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators and share business insights
  • Identify trends and patterns in data to support strategic decision-making
  • Document technical processes and maintain data dictionaries
  • Validate data quality and implement data cleaning procedures
  • Mentor junior analysts in SQL and SAS best practices

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in SAS programming to mine, alter, manage, retrieve, and combine data from a variety of sources and perform statistical analysis
  • Proficient in SAS programming, including macro development and PROC SQL
  • Proficient with SAS data integration and query tools
  • 5+ years of advanced SQL skills including complex joins, window functions, and query optimization
  • 3+ years of experience in data visualization and tools
  • strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in related field
  • Knowledge of statistical modeling and machine learning concepts
  • Healthcare or financial services industry experience
  • Certifications in SAS or SQL
  • Familiar with SAS Procurement Integrity solution
