Womack Army Medical Center | Fort Bragg, NC
Client: Department of Defense (DoD) - Defense Health Agency (DHA)
Program: Medical Q-Coded Support & Services - Next Generation (MQS2-NG)
Employment Type: Full-Time Contract (9.5 FTE Positions Available)
Work Setting: Onsite - Military Treatment Facility (No Telework)

Schedule & Shift:
Womack Army Medical Center operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and CRNAs support a continuously staffed Operating Room and Emergency Department
Schedules may include:
Monday-Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Monday-Friday: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Monday-Friday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
24-hour shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM (Monday-Sunday)
Rotating schedules based on department needs
Federal holidays may be required
No on-call requirement specified
Position Summary:
This is an opportunity to work alongside military and civilian healthcare professionals while providing high-quality anesthesia care for active-duty service members, military families, retirees, and eligible beneficiaries
Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia evaluations and assessments
  • Develop individualized anesthesia care plans
  • Administer monitored anesthesia care, regional anesthesia, and general anesthesia
  • Manage patient airways and physiologic status throughout surgical procedures
  • Monitor and respond to patient reactions during anesthesia.
  • Manage fluid therapy and invasive monitoring
  • Document anesthesia care accurately throughout all phases of treatment
  • Conduct post-anesthesia evaluations and monitor recovery
  • Deliver safe anesthesia care across a broad range of surgical specialties and patient populations

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Nursing from a Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA) accredited program
  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
  • Current certification through the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • Minimum 4 years of experience administering general and regional anesthesia, including major vascular, neurosurgical, thoracic, and complex surgical procedures
  • Current unrestricted RN/APRN license in the state where services are performed (license portability does not apply)
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI)
  • U.S. Citizenship required

Work Environment:
  • Onsite at a major military medical center
  • Emergency/Mission Essential position
  • Professional scrubs required while on duty
  • Participation in required DHA, HIPAA, Genesis, SAPR, CTIP, and facility-specific training
  • No telework available
