These professionals are typically brought in for specific projects, system implementations, upgrades, or to cover short-term staffing needs. They possess expertise in various SAP modules, such as finance, supply chain, or human resources, and help organizations maximize the value of their SAP investments without committing to permanent hires. Description

SAP L1 Production Support Specialist

About the Role

As the SAP L1 Production Support Specialist, you will own the end-to-end coordination of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud initiatives across the business functions. You will bring structure, visibility, and rapid issue resolution to a fast-moving, multi-workstream environment spanning Finance, MDM, Purchasing, HR, Supply Chain Collaboration, Warehouse, ASN, and Banking.

This is a great opportunity to sharpen your project management, production support, and cross-functional leadership skills while making a real impact on a next-generation manufacturing facility.

What You'll Do

L1 Production Support & Incident Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for IT L1 support activities across the SAP S/4HANA production environment.

Own end-to-end support workflows in JIRA, ServiceNow, and CALM—managing tickets and backlogs, prioritizing by severity and business impact, enforcing SLA compliance, and escalating unresolved issues to L2/L3 teams with clear root-cause context.

Build and maintain incident and performance dashboards/scorecards to track trends, surface recurring issues, and report key support metrics to stakeholders.

Finance & Integration Support

Assist our finance team with month-end close activities, intercompany transactions, banking, accounting, treasury, Wall Street, Backline, MICS, Vertex, and Monex processes.

Support SAP integration efforts across master data management, purchasing and supplier interfaces, API/middleware connections, and ASN (Advance Shipping Notice) processes.

Support SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Identity & Access Governance initiatives, including end-to-end user management (provisioning, deprovisioning, and access modifications).

Training & Enablement

Support SAP training and certification tracking, coordinate job aid availability, and schedule training sessions across workstreams.

Build user readiness reporting (dashboards/scorecards) to track certification completion and training effectiveness.

You don't need to check every box — if you believe you can bring value to our team, we encourage you to apply.

What You'll Need

Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP ERP (S/4HANA) and 10+ years leading end-to-end IT project management—planning, executing, and delivering complex technology projects on time and within scope.

Cloud Experience: At least one full-lifecycle implementation of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.

Production Support Expertise: Demonstrated experience in L1/production support, incident management, and use of SAP Cloud ALM (CALM), ServiceNow, and JIRA for ticketing, workflow, and issue tracking.

Reporting & Visibility Tools: Proven ability to build and maintain dashboards and scorecards for project status, incident metrics, and KPI tracking.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting, treasury, banking, master data management, purchasing and supplier integrations, API/interface management, ASN, and middleware platforms.

Soft Skills: Strong stakeholder management, communication, and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams under tight timelines.

Availability: Willingness to work onsite 3+ days per week.

Preferred Qualifications
