Our Financial Management & Business Analysis Portfolio supports the U.S. Army Financial Management Command (USAFMCOM), Systems Support Operations (SSO) Division. We provide effective functional systems support, user technical support, training support, and governance support of the Army's modernized and deployed FM domain ERP systems (GFEBS / GFEBS-SA / GCSS-A (Finance)), ensuring technological capabilities maturation and evolution aligns with Army and FM domain goals and objectives.
SPA has an immediate need for Senior SAP SD Reimbursable Functional Analyst / Enterprise Architect within the U.S. Army's General Fund Enterprise Business System - Sensitive Activities (GFEBS-SA). This role requires onsite work 5 days a week in customer's SIPR location.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include serving as the senior SAP SD Reimbursable Functional SME for Tier-2 production support and analyzing complex SAP SD and reimbursable process issues to determine root cause, business impact, and resolution path. You will support reimbursable transaction activity involving sales orders, billing documents, customer master data, document flow, accounting integration, funding impacts, collections, closeout, and reporting, and troubleshoot production issues involving billing errors, failed accounting, reversals, interfaces, reports, authorizations, master data, user questions, closeout-related activity, custom reports, interfaces, forms, workflows, batch jobs, security/authorization issues, and failed transactional processing. You will review, analyze, approve, validate, and reference functional specifications for system changes, defects, enhancements, reports, interfaces, forms, workflows, and other SAP updates, and support regression testing, integration testing, UAT, production validation, and post-deployment verification. In addition, you will coordinate with MM, FI, FM, ABAP, Basis, security, interface, reporting, and business process teams to resolve cross-module issues; identify recurring ticket trends, backlog drivers, and process gaps and recommend actions to improve production stability and reduce repeat issues; and support month-end, year-end, audit, financial reconciliation, and closeout activities related to reimbursable processing. You will also communicate issue status, risks, impacts, workarounds, validation results, and next steps to users, functional teams, technical teams, and leadership. This is not a people-management role; the position functions as a senior analyst and escalation point for complex functional issues and serves as the senior functional escalation point for Tier-2 production support related to the SAP Sales and Distribution (reimbursable) module on the GFEBS-SA team.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • MA/MS Degree
  • SAP SD functional experience in a production support, sustainment, or enhancement environment
  • Hands-on experience supporting SAP SD in SAP ECC
  • 10 years of experience supporting government, defense, federal, public sector, or similarly complex reimbursable business processes
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain SAP behavior and issue resolution paths to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, document findings clearly, and operate effectively in a government support environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required government system access and credentials as required by the program.
  • Active Secret clearance is required and the ability to maintain it throughout employment

  • Top Secret clearance is preferred.
