Simplot has major operations in nine countries with products and services available to customers worldwide.SummaryThe Senior SAP Functional Analyst - FICO / Record-to-Reportwill serve as a functional expert for SAP Finance capabilities in the global S/4HANA landscape. This role guides solution direction, supports complex design decisions,participates in roadmap priorities, and provides functional guidance across delivery, stabilization, production support, and continuous improvement. The Senior Analyst is expected to understand end-to-end finance processes and the integration points that connect Record-to-Report with adjacent business capabilities.The Functional Analyst are directly responsible for the systems or modules that are in their area and must have the ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical audiences. Successful candidates will have deep SAP Financeexpertise, practical leadership, strong judgment, clear communication,coaching mindset, and ability to drive alignment across complex dependencies.This role reports onsite to Simplot HQ (Boise, ID). Key ResponsibilitiesGuide and participate in solution design, configuration strategy, testing, deployment readiness, stabilization, and continuous improvement for assigned area.Drive cross-functional alignment with Source-to-Pay, Quote-to-Cash, Make-to-Deploy, Forecast-to-Schedule, reporting/analytics, tax, treasury, and relevant non-SAP platforms.Partner with IT Product Managers and Business Portfolio Owners to shape roadmaps, prioritize backlogs, define outcomes,identifydependencies, evaluate risks, and support business value realization.Provide production support from escalations, including critical incident triage, root cause analysis, problem management, escalation facilitation, defect resolution, enhancement assessment, and knowledge management.Collaborate with architecture, development, integration, QA, data, security, reporting, AMS, and vendor teams to ensure complete, scalable, secure, and supportable solutions.Communicate complex solution options, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations in a concise and business-readable manner for leadership, product teams, and stakeholders.Utilize agile methodologies for continuous delivery of solutions. Rapid deployment and validation of solutions components is a must.Typical EducationBachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or universityRequired Qualifications7+ Years of experience as an SAP Functional Analyst or comparable role supporting SAP FICO / Finance capabilities.Strong hands-on experience of the new Fiori tools and S/4HANA environments (1809,1909,2020).Deep understanding of finance processes such as general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, asset accounting, controlling, profit center accounting, cost center accounting, financial close, or related Record-to-Report capabilities.Good understanding of various integration patterns between SAP products and non-SAP Products and when to utilize these patterns when enabling a business process is preferred.Good understanding of the development lifecycle utilization of SAP Solution Manager and how it will be utilized in a Dev/Ops environment is preferred.Experience working in agile, product delivery, DevOps, or hybrid delivery models using structured backlog, sprint, release, and governance practices.Strong communicationskills with the ability to translate technical and functional complexity intoclearbusiness language.Understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban is preferred.Understanding of SAP S4 HANA Universal Journal (ACDOCA), New General Ledger, Ledgers and Extension Ledgers, Parallel Accounting (US GAAP, IFRS, Local GAAP), Profit Center Accounting, Segment Reporting, Real-time integration between FI and CO, Group Reporting and Financial ConsolidationDeep SAP Finance expertise, practical leadership, strong judgment, clear communication, coaching mindset, and ability to drive alignment across complex dependencies.Preferred QualificationsExtra Consideration will be given to those candidates with experience in Treasury, Tax, OpenText VIM, Central Finance.Ability to write functional specs and design custom objects for business specific requirements and work with development teams.Overall working knowledge of various ecosystems that connect with SAP S4 HANA business SuiteKnowledge of SAP Accounts Payable processes including vendor invoice management, payment processing, withholding tax, duplicate invoice prevention, exception handling, and integration with OpenText VIM.
