About the role
As the SAP Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting GTS Operations and identifying areas in which solutions can be put forward for consideration to improve performance and satisfaction. You will be responsible for understanding and addressing complex issues related to purchasing processes, tools, and systems within GTS, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

In this role, you will communicate with global colleagues, providing training and documenting processes and procedures. You will also be responsible for performing testing on tool enhancements and processes. Additionally, you must understand business changes, improvements, and enhancements, particularly concerning purchasing processes, tools, and systems within GTS, utilizing change programs to drive these improvements forward.

What you'll be doing

  • Identify and propose solutions to improve performance and satisfaction within SAP and GTS Operations.
  • Support complex issues related to purchasing processes, tools, and systems to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Provide support in key Inside Sales functions, including complex order placement and management through configuration, delivery requests to invoicing, while utilizing internal systems and tools.
  • Provide day-to-day training and serve as a source of knowledge and guidance to the Inside Sales team from end-to-end quote to invoice cleared.
  • Assist, encourage, and enable the sales teams to evaluate their requirements and determine solutions that meet the defined objectives.
  • Communicate and collaborate closely with Inside Sales teams and cross-stream business areas to drive improvements in performance.
  • Maintain proactive knowledge and understanding of Computacenter's best practices and processes within the Sales and Inside Sales organizations.
  • Work on assignments and business improvement projects that are complex in nature.
  • Utilize focused judgment and positive initiative to resolve problems and make recommendations.
  • Maintain an "own to resolution" attitude with open communication channels and promote intuitive ways to transfer knowledge across the team.
  • Create and update SAP documentation for the Inside Sales team, including maintaining, creating, and updating written and visual SAP process and training documentation.
  • Communicate, document, and demonstrate new processes and business change request releases.
  • Attend, participate, and communicate to peers the outcomes and actions from discovery sessions, meetings, and conferences.
  • Ensure business processes are aligned to equally ensure customer satisfaction is achieved.
  • Perform testing on tool enhancements and processes.
  • Understand and address business changes, improvements, and enhancements, particularly concerning purchasing processes, tools, and systems within GTS through change programs.
  • Partner with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives and that are consistent with Winning Together values.
  • Embrace and support Computacenter's mission and core values.
  • Identify process improvements and advise on EDI integration.
  • Evaluate and interpret internal as well as external customer or manufacturer inquiries regarding changes on feasibility, potential for improvement, and effort.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement necessary steps for the realization of change projects.
  • Plan and execute test scenarios.
  • Support daily business with complex inquiries about purchasing processes, tools, and systems within GTS Operations.
  • Ensure representation and support of other team members.
  • Ensure know-how transfer within the team.
  • Facilitate team-internal communication and coordination.
  • Continuously develop product knowledge and CC internal End-to-End processes.

What you have

  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Requires 2-5 years of experience building queries in SAP.
  • Extensive SAP Experience In: Material Master, Purchasing of SD module (sales and distribution), API integration (cXML, EDI) , SRM (Supplier Relationship Management)
  • SAP or ERP implementation experience, either as a consultant or as a user, would be beneficial. 
  • Ariba capabilities on the supply side.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of SAP, Salesforce CRM, MS Office and MS Teams.
  • Purchasing SME.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strategic thinking and tactical execution skills.
  • Good knowledge of the IT industry and an understanding of IT technologies and products. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable communicating with colleagues in different countries where English is not the first spoken language.
  • Good self-organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
  • Can build trust, be assertive when required and shows initiative and enthusiasm.
  • Resilience, and able to deal with stressful situations.
  • Business and financial acumen with strong analytical skills.
