SAP PaPM Consultant

Immediate need for a talented SAP PaPM consultant. This is a 12+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Pittsburgh, PA (Remote). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $80 - $82/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, and implement SAP PaPM models to support profitability analysis, cost allocations, planning, forecasting, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translate them into functional and technical specifications, and deliver effective solutions.
  • Develop complex calculation models, allocation rules, modeling functions, and data processing logic within SAP PaPM.
  • Integrate PaPM with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP FICO, BPC, and other source systems as needed.
  • Conduct system testing, UAT support, defect resolution, and postgolive enhancements.
  • Create technical documentation, configuration guides, and enduser training materials.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues, optimize model execution, and ensure data accuracy.
  • Stay updated on SAP PaPM product enhancements and best practices.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience
  • Skills: SAP PaPM, SAP BPC and SAP FICO, PaPM, Finance Controlling and Profitability
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3–7 years of handson experience with SAP PaPM implementation, configuration and modeling.
  • Strong understanding of finance and controlling processes (profitability analysis, cost allocations, planning, driverbased modeling).
  • Proficiency in HANA SQL, HANA modeling, and FSD/TSD creation.
  • Experience integrating PaPM with S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, or other SAP foundational modules.
  • Ability to interpret complex data flows and optimize computational performance.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with remote and global teams.
  • SAP certification in PaPM or SAP FICO.
  • Knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for reporting and visualization.
  • Experience with Agile methodology and DevOps practices.
  • Industrial Knowledge: Experience with time series, asset modeling, and event data.
  • Soft Skills: Client-facing professional with strong problem-solving and delivery focus.
  • Nice to Have: Familiarity with BI tools and industrial communication protocols.
