Job description

Nakupuna Consulting is supporting our client in identifying a full-time Technical Project Manager to lead a high-visibility Navy ERP and technology modernization initiative focused on system transformation and modernization. This individual will oversee all aspects of the task order, serve as the primary liaison with Government stakeholders, and ensure timely and effective delivery of project objectives.
The ideal candidate will bring senior-level expertise equivalent to a Subject Matter Specialist and demonstrate the ability to operate in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Our client operates in a fast-paced environment, delivering strategic execution, financial process enablement, IT systems support, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation services to the Navy.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with Government stakeholders, including the COR
  • Manage the overall task order and lead planning and execution across all phases of the ERP transformation
  • Coordinate and oversee program activities, resources, and deliverables across teams
  • Provide senior-level leadership for ERP migration and technology modernization
  • Ensure alignment with DoD and Navy standards and policies
  • Facilitate communication and decision-making among stakeholders
  • Lead status meetings and deliver executive briefings
  • Manage risks, mitigation strategies, and resources
  • Ensure readiness for on-site NCR support within 24 hours
  • Integrate agile, SAP Activate, and S/4HANA best practices
  • Track timelines and ensure successful delivery

Skills/Qualifications: In addition to the ability to professionally interact with managers, coworkers, technical staff, and subcontractors, the ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Strong ERP program leadership experience in DoD/federal environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP Activate, Agile/SAFe
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 years managing large-scale IT/ERP programs
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations
  • Experience with complex, multi-stakeholder environments

Certifications:

  • PMP certification is desirable but not required
  • SAFe or Agile certification preferred

Security Clearance:  This position requires an active Secret Clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Location: Remote work will be considered but must be available for in-person support within 24 hours’ notice of Charleston, SC or National Capital Region.

Physical requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:
