Job description

Location: Anywhere in Country

At EY, weโ€™re all in to shape your future with confidence.

Weโ€™ll help you succeed in a globally connected powerhouse of diverse teams and take your career wherever you want it to go. Join EY and help to build a better working world.

Our goal is to give clients a unique business perspective on how SAP technology can enhance their operations. Leveraging EYโ€™s SAP capabilities, Supply Chain, FICO, BPC, Data & Analytics, Customer, Technology & Architecture, and SuccessFactorsโ€”we help clients improve performance and boost productivity.

The opportunity

We are seeking a forward-thinking SAP professional to join our Technical Consulting team. Collaborating with external clients and internal teams, you will use your strong proficiency in SAP technology to help clients achieve improved outcomes and lasting results. Harnessing our expertise in tax, assurance, transaction and risk, and by utilizing your capabilities to implement SAP, you will pave the way for innovative solutions.

As a Senior Technology Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will interact with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring that newly implemented technology solutions meet their needs. Your collaboration with technical teams will be essential in designing and delivering effective system architecture solutions.

Your key responsibilities

In this role, you will spend your time engaging with clients and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery. You will face challenges that require analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, providing you with opportunities to learn and grow in a dynamic environment. This position may require regular travel to meet with clients, allowing you to build relationships and understand their needs better. Key responsibilities include:

  • Interacting with business stakeholders to evaluate business models and processes.
  • Analyzing newly implemented technology solutions to verify they meet business requirements.
  • Collaborating with technical teams to design and deliver system architecture solutions.
  • Exhibit strong technical expertise and business acumen in Order Management, Returns, Customer Interactions, Pricing, Inquiry, Quote Contracts, ATP, Delivery, and Billing processes.
  • Configure and implement SAP SD modules, including Sales Area, BP/Material Master Data, Sales Order Types, Item Categories, Schedule Line Categories, Pricing, Billing Document Types, and Output Determination.
  • Support writing functional specifications, business requirement documentation, configuration rational documentation, and other project-related documents for the OTC workstream.
  • Design and implement WRICEs based on client requirements, managing the process from functional specification through to cut-over and hypercare phases independently.
  • Ensure seamless system integration between SD and other modules such as MM, TM, EWM, and FI to maintain efficient end-to-end business processes.
  • Map, implement, test and troubleshoot the EDI/API interfaces.
  • Deliver high-quality client services, monitor progress, manage risk and keep key stakeholders informed of developments and outcomes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels.
Skills and attributes for success

To excel in this role, you will need a combination of technical and interpersonal skills. Your ability to build relationships and communicate effectively will be crucial.

On your typical engagement, you will work with the key stakeholders to understand their needs and advise on SAP system capabilities. You will initiate the requirement gathering, architect solutions, blueprinting, testing, complete the workflow and documentation, as well as the functional design of the solution. Liaise with stakeholders and the technical team to translate needs into business solutions and complete the configurations and/or integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems. Work with your team to implement the SAP OTC solutions for client on-time, within the budget, and high quality. The following skills and attributes will make a significant impact:

  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in technology business requirements definition and analysis.
  • Experience in system configuration design and technology cost-benefit analysis.
  • Ability to manage client relationships and communicate with impact.
To qualify for the role, you must have
  • A bachelorโ€™s degree.
  • Typically, no less than 2 - 4 years relevant experience.
  • Handsโ€‘on experience in SAP Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes, including Order Management, Pricing, ATP, Delivery, Billing, and Returns.
  • Experience configuring SAP SD modules (e.g., pricing, billing, sales order processing, output determination).
  • Experience developing functional specifications (WRICEF) and supporting build, testing, and deployment.
  • Experience supporting integrations between SAP SD and other modules (MM, FI, TM, EWM) and/or external systems.
  • Exposure to EDI/API interfaces, including testing or troubleshooting.
  • Experience participating in SAP implementation lifecycle phases (design, build, test, deploy, hypercare).
  • Strong technical skills in application functional design.
  • Expertise in technology business requirements definition, analysis, and mapping.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills.
  • Ability and comfort level researching client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies.
  • Familiarity with technology business architecture frameworks.
  • Skills in training design and delivery.
  • A flexibility and willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel is estimated at 40-60%.
Ideally, youโ€™ll also have
  • Prior consulting industry experience or deep functional experience.
  • Experience in project management and tracking deliverable completion.
  • SAP certification(s).
  • Experience with at least one full cycle implementation of your core module.
