Location: Monday - Friday - Onsite in Richardson, TX
Employment Type: Direct Hire - Full-Time Employment

Important Note: This is a hands-on development role. Candidates should be actively performing SAP Commerce (Hybris) development and Java coding in their current or most recent position.
Overview
We are seeking a Lead SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) Developer to join our team and play a key role in designing, developing, integrating, and supporting enterprise B2B commerce solutions. This is a hands-on development role requiring deep expertise in SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris), Java/Spring development, SAP CPQ, and complex system integrations.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced developer who remains actively involved in coding while also providing technical leadership, mentoring team members, and contributing to architectural decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Development
  • Design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise-scale SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) solutions.
  • Perform hands-on coding, debugging, optimization, and refactoring to improve application performance and maintainability.
  • Develop and support integrations between SAP Commerce Cloud, SAP CPQ, SAP ECC/S/4HANA, Salesforce (or similar CRM platforms), and external systems.
  • Design and implement APIs utilizing OCC (Omni Commerce Connect) and modern integration patterns.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, including performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, thread dumps, and integration failures.
  • Participate in technical design sessions and contribute to architecture decisions for new and existing solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce development standards, security practices, and coding best practices.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, integration specifications, API documentation, and support guides.
Release & Delivery
  • Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, and retrospectives.
  • Support release management activities, including deployment planning, testing coordination, change management, and production releases.
  • Manage and enhance CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps.
  • Support automated testing and quality assurance initiatives.

Technical Leadership
  • Serve as a technical mentor for development team members.
  • Partner with Product Owners, Architects, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Guide development teams on SAP Commerce, Java/Spring, integration best practices, and performance optimization.
  • Promote continuous improvement across development processes, tooling, and platform capabilities.

Innovation
  • Stay current with emerging SAP Commerce, SAP CPQ, cloud, and development technologies.
  • Evaluate opportunities to leverage automation and AI-assisted development tools to improve developer productivity and delivery efficiency.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of overall software development experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) development experience.
  • Strong experience with SAP Commerce architecture, customization, and development.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP CPQ (Configure Price Quote).
  • Deep expertise in Java/J2EE and Spring Framework (Spring Core, MVC, Security, and Integration).
  • Strong understanding of B2B commerce processes and sales models.
  • Experience with Configure-to-Order (CTO) and Engineer-to-Order (ETO) business processes.
  • Experience developing and consuming OCC APIs.
  • Experience with headless commerce architectures utilizing Spartacus and/or ReactJS.
  • Experience integrating SAP Commerce with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce, and third-party systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.

Preferred Qualifications
  • SAP Commerce Cloud CCv2 migration experience.
  • Full-stack development experience with ReactJS.
  • Experience implementing and supporting Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
