Headquartered in Houston, Texas, BWC Terminals is a premier provider of bulk liquid storage and logistics services to refiners, manufacturers, and distributors of bulk liquids in North America. The Company consists of 22 sites with over twenty million barrels of storage capacity. The BWC Terminals facilities are equipped to store a wide range of petroleum, chemical, renewables, and agricultural products. JOB OVERVIEW

As an Entry-Level Customer Service Representative at BWC Terminals, you will support terminal operations by managing customer orders, shipping documentation, and data entry tasks. This role involves learning operational service orders (OSOs) across all transportation modes, handling paperwork such as bills of lading, and ensuring compliance with DOT and customer-specific requirements (e.g., food grade, hazardous materials). You will interact directly with customers and visitors, professionally addressing inquiries and coordinating order fulfillment. Initial training will be provided, with a gradual transition to independent work. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word are essential. This position also provides backup support to other terminal functions and requires maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Perform basic terminal operational activities and processes related to Shipping/Receiving and Container Types/Modes.

  • Learn all OSO's (operations service orders) for all modes

  • Handle truck paperwork, including BOL's Creation, Order Entry, and Customer Order Requests.

  • Complete data entry and billing creation tasks, including Closing Orders, Capturing Ancillary Charges, and applying Customer Standards.

  • Experience with Excel and Word

  • Work under the supervision of a trainer during the initial period with gradual progression to independent work.

  • Apply knowledge of DOT/Shipping Requirements and Customer's Handling Requirements (NSF, Food Grade, Kosher, Hazardous, Waivers).

  • Enter orders into BWC Terminals' (The Company's) computer system and process the orders. Compile processed orders with other mandatory paperwork, such as SDS, certificates of analysis, and any other customer-required paperwork, and give them to operators to fulfill the order.

  • Monitor customers' systems for shipping orders and enter shipping data into their systems.

  • Answer incoming calls professionally, courteously, and accurately direct calls to staff. Assist customers with questions, issues, and coordination of orders.

  • Professionally assist all visitors to the terminal and ensure security procedures are followed.

  • Process and distribute any paperwork required to customers.

  • Provide back-up and relief to other positions as appropriate.

  • Review inventory detail reports for accuracy.

  • Maintain confidentiality of all customers and BWC Terminals (Company) matters.

  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.
