Job description

Position Summary

The SAP Developer is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing and maintaining modern, role-based secure web applications that enhance user experience and support business processes at Jetblue Airways. The SAP Developer partners closely with functional analysts, business stakeholders, and peer developers to deliver intuitive, secure, and scalable solutions aligned with SAP Fiori Design Guidelines, best practices and Jetblue Standards. The SAP Developer focuses on applications development using SAP UI5 while integrating with SAP back-end systems like S/4 HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba,  Concur   and other  SAP Products..

Essential Responsibilities

  • Design, Develop, Test, and Deploy SAP Fiori applications using SAP UI5 and Fiori Tools.
  • Customize, enhance and extend standard SAP Fiori applications to meet business requirements.
  • Develop and Customize SAP Fiori Themes and CSS using UI Theme Designer.
  • Develop and Consume OData(v2/v4) services using Netweaver Gateway, RAP or CAP methodologies.
  • Engage in end-to-end application lifecycle management, including deployment to SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) landscapes.
  • Support SAP S/4 HANA and BTP upgrades, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues for applications maintenance and support adhering to change management processes.
  • Collaborate with functional analysts, business and matrix partners to deliver user-centric applications.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and solutions documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field, OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous related work experience.
  • Three (3) years of experience in SAP UI5 and Fiori development.
  • Three (3) years of experience working with JavaScript, HTML5, XML, JSON, CSS, and MVC architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Business Application Studio and/or Visual Studio Code for SAP Fiori applications development.
  • Familiarity with SAP Fiori Launchpad configuration, catalogs and role-based access concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, explain technology issues and work progress to both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Certified Associate - SAP Fiori Application Developer is preferred.
  • ABAP development experience, particularly related to Gateway and OData services, CDS views.
  • Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA particularly in Human Capital Management (HCM) or Finance (FI) processes and at least one SAP cloud solution such as SuccessFactors, Ariba, or Concur.
  • Experience working on MTA based applications using SAP HANA Cloud DB as a backend database, including data modeling concepts, performance considerations, or service integration

  • Regular attendance and punctuality is expected.
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short notice.
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance.
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft.
  • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, i.e. exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion.
  • Identify safety and security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR)).
  • The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position.

Compensation

  • The base pay range for this position is between $90,500.00 and $128,600.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
