What You Will Be Doing

Partner with business stakeholders, technology leaders, development teams, and vendors to define technology roadmaps, assess platforms, and design scalable, secure, and reliable commerce architectures aligned with business objectives. Lead the architecture and delivery of complex B2B and B2B2C commerce solutions, including integrations with ERP, CRM, PIM, and other enterprise systems, while ensuring adherence to enterprise standards and best practices. Provide technical leadership across the software development lifecycle through solution design, architecture reviews, code reviews, and governance. Maintain a hands-on role in application development and support while mentoring teams on engineering standards and platform optimization. Evaluate emerging technologies, lead proof-of-concept initiatives, and serve as a trusted advisor to business and IT stakeholders, driving innovation, modernization, and operational excellence.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline. 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise applications, digital commerce, solution architecture, software engineering, or related technical fields, including experience leading architecture strategy, platform modernization initiatives, and large-scale global technology programs. Deep expertise with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris), including platform architecture, data models, integrations, administration, deployments, upgrades, environment management, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and ongoing support of business-critical commerce platforms. Strong knowledge of B2B and B2B2C commerce business processes, including product catalogs, pricing, ordering, fulfillment, customer account management, and end-to-end order-to-cash operations. Proven ability to serve as a technical subject matter expert and thought leader, defining technology roadmaps, developing future-state architectures, and recommending innovative solutions that align business objectives with enterprise technology strategies. Hands-on software development experience utilizing Java, Spring Framework, SAP Commerce Cloud, and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), with the ability to design, build, maintain, and oversee complex commerce solutions. Experience designing and supporting APIs, middleware solutions, SAP Integration Suite (SCI/CPI), event-driven architectures, microservices, composable commerce, and headless commerce ecosystems. Strong expertise with SAP Commerce Cloud development and administration, including FlexibleSearch, HAC, ImpEx, code deployments, release management, environment configuration, provisioning, backup and restore processes, environment refreshes, user administration, and platform governance. Experience integrating SAP Commerce Cloud with ERP, CRM, PIM, and other enterprise platforms within complex global environments. Ability to architect, design, develop, and oversee scalable technical solutions that efficiently solve complex business challenges across the B2B commerce ecosystem. Experience delivering backend and frontend commerce solutions, leveraging out-of-the-box SAP Commerce Cloud capabilities while adhering to development standards and best practices. Demonstrated ability to lead and oversee technical work performed by internal teams, implementation partners, and vendors, including architecture reviews, design validation, code reviews, and technical governance activities. Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, security, databases, identity management, enterprise infrastructure, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile software delivery methodologies. Experience supporting global commerce implementations and multi-region business operations with a focus on scalability, reliability, performance, and operational excellence. Strong troubleshooting, incident management, and root-cause analysis capabilities with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex application, integration, and infrastructure issues. Experience evaluating emerging technologies, conducting proof-of-concept initiatives, and providing strategic recommendations to business and technology leadership teams. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence executive leadership, business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners. Demonstrated success mentoring architects, developers, and technical teams while fostering innovation, collaboration, accountability, and engineering excellence. Experience within manufacturing, consumer products, distribution, or other global commerce-focused organizations is preferred. Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities, strategic initiatives, and complex technology programs simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Ability to travel as needed to support business initiatives, stakeholder engagement, project execution, and technology leadership responsibilities.

Pay Range: $137,483.00-$175,017.00
