Job description

Position Summary:
Responsible for providing day to day user support as well as for formulating business process scope and objectives related to the SAP system.Analyzes and evaluates existing and proposed systems/changes and devises or modifies processes and procedures for solving business problems.Responsible for collaborating with ABAP programmers, business subject matter experts and other SAP Technical resources to provide solutions. Works closely on SAP specific projects and tasks with key business and technical resources, identifying and implementing solutions through configuration or customization resulting in efficient and effective business processes.
Responsibilities
  • Effectively understand relevant business processes.
  • Diagnose problems and resolve system errors.
  • Perform configuration changes, with ability to specify and apply testing and quality monitoring procedures.
  • Provide effective interactive analysis and design sessions with representatives of business and functional units.
  • Define scope and requirements of new developments to meet changing business requirements.
  • Provide guidance to business and functional units in developing tests and training plans and materials.
  • Write functional/technical specifications for configuration/customizations as required.
  • Developuser training programs and materials.
  • Drive improved user productivity throughbusiness process and systems solutions.
  • Serve as technical resource to ABAP programmers, developers, and BASIS Administrators in designing, configuring and implementing an SAP system which supports the company's business and operational needs.

Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of extensive experience as an SAP ECC business analyst/configurator in the FICO module. Knowledge of SAP data dictionary and common SAP tables.
  • Demonstrated production support knowledge and configuration experience in SAP FICO including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders and Product Costing.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience working with cross functional SAP modules and integration knowledge
  • Familiar with accounting business processes
  • Experience working with all levels of the organization, both technical and non-technical.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently
    • Experience in coal or energy industry a plus.
