As the SAP Application Security Lead, you will.

You will be responsible for delivering SAP security capabilities and solutions within the project’s SAP landscapes. This project operates in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that leverages Agile/Scrum methodology to rapidly build solutions based on customer requirements. You are encouraged to learn about new technologies and recommend improvements to business processes. You will be successful through your strong technical expertise, proactive problem‑solving abilities, and excellent communication skills with our clients.

Your responsibilities will include.

  • Leading a team of SAP Security Analysts through the project lifecycle.
  • Utilizing all available tools and applications within the project to provide SAP security solutions aligned with SAP best practices and industry standards.
  • Participating in security solution selection, design, and implementation as part of the project team. 
  • Developing, maintaining, and improving a secure SAP environment.
  • Leading all security aspects of system builds, upgrades, patching, client copies, and system refreshes. 
  • Conducting SAP security workshops with clients and project personnel.
  • Proactively engaging the project team and client for activities such as requirement gathering and status reporting.
  • Developing and providing extensive training and leadership to the client and internal teams.
  • Identifying and communicating security issues, risks, and opportunities to facilitate timely resolution.
  • Delivering SAP security solutions, analytics, reports, and design TDS/FDS/WRICEF documents and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

To be considered, your background will include

  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Federal clearance
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience administering SAP security for SAP applications.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience serving as a leader for a major IT program involving multiple teams and/or projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management. 
  • Experience in SAP landscape security strategy and architecture.
  • Experience supporting project implementations with SAP solutions for Governance, Risk, and Compliance (SAP GRC), SAP BTP, and other SAP security tools.
  • Experience in SAP application security implementation methodologies, role‑based user authorization, and access controls.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deliverables, and project milestones effectively.
  • Hands-on experience in SAP security configuration, user administration, user authorization troubleshooting, and role‑based security development and maintenance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work on a highly dynamic team in a fast-paced environment with continuous challenges.
  • Ability to serve as a liaison between business units, technology teams, and project development teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and related tools.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.

Additional capabilities to stand out as a candidate. 

  • Deep understanding of user authorization, Segregation of Duties (SoD) concepts.
  • Ability to influence change and operate effectively in rapidly evolving technological and business environments.
  • Current SAP Security Certification is desirable.
  • Project experience within government agencies or the public sector is highly desirable.

Compensation: Compensation ranges are determined by several factors, including skill set, experience, licensure and certifications, and location. The anticipated range for the base salary for this role is $140-160K. There may be some flexibility for exceptionally qualified individuals.
