  • Lead reviews of business processes, develop optimization strategies, and manage projects end-to-end to ensure solutions meet organizational needs.


Job description

The SAP Analyst – Finance will participate in a cross-functional team environment as part of the IDI SAP Team. This position will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and enhancing SAP business applications. The primary focus of this position will be Finance. Finance includes Financial Reporting and related General Ledger work, FP&A Analysis and Data Warehouse, Pricing, Billing & Invoice to Cash, Accounts Payable and Procure to Pay processes, Credit and other associated processes.

Responsibilities/Duties: SAP S/4 HANA ERP Support:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on SAP FI (Finance) business functionality.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Configure and customize the SAP FI module to meet business needs, including:
    • Financial reporting and related general ledger work
    • FP&A analysis and data warehouse involvement
    • Pricing
    • Billing and invoice to cash processes
    • Accounts Payable and procure to pay processes.
    • Credit
    • Related master data files
  • Participate in the SAP Roadmap delivery process to ensure timely progress and appropriate project delivery and justification.
  • Support and extend the SAP S/4 HANA solution at IDI to enhance business processes.
  • Identify opportunities to increase SAP adoption, utilization, and customer satisfaction.
Leadership and Development:
  • Serve as a liaison between departments to assist in developing business requirements for projects, system modifications, enhancements, and ERP solution implementations.
  • Drive the creation and socialization of best practices, processes, and necessary artifacts to develop a Business Analysis practice suitable for IDI’s environment.
Process Optimization and Project Management:
  • Lead ongoing reviews of business processes, maintain all process documentation, and develop optimization strategies.
  • Manage projects end-to-end, including developing project plans, monitoring progress, and communicating project status, obstacles, and resource needs.
  • Work closely with the end users and executive management to ensure solutions meet business needs, organizational goals, business priorities, and project expectations.
  • Develop and execute use cases, user acceptance test plans, and other relevant artifacts.

Qualifications/Skills: Communication and Customer Service:
  • Effectively communicate insights and recommendations to cross-functional teams and executive management

  • Ability to work on large-scale projects as well as handle occasional support trouble tickets from the business.

Writing and Documentation:
  • Excellent writing and documentation skills
Technical Proficiency:
  • Competency in Microsoft Office tools
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP FI processes, configurations, and integration points
  • Strong understanding of Invoice-to-Cash (I2C) and other Finance & Accounting business processes
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving SAP FI issues.
  • Knowledge of related SAP modules, such MM and SD
Analytical and Conceptual Thinking:
  • Exceptional critical and conceptual thinking skills, with both attention to detail and a holistic view of the environment
  • Ability to combine strong analytical and technical skills with business acumen to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
Education and/or Experience: Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in the field of Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years’ experience of design and configuration in SAP Finance (FI) with strong knowledge of integration points between Materials Management and Sales & Distribution.
  • Experience with multi-location, mid to large-sized organizations within a transportation, logistics, or sales environment.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
Preferred Experience:
  • SAP ABAP coding experience or ability to read and understand custom ABAP code.
  • SAP FI-related Fiori application design and support
