Position Overview
We are seeking a Sanitation Manager to lead sanitation strategy, programs, and teams in a food manufacturing environment. This role ensures sanitation effectiveness, audit readiness, and compliance while driving a strong culture of food safety and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead sanitation programs across production, equipment, and facilities
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, OSHA, and GFSI/SQF standards
  • Develop and maintain SSOPs and Master Sanitation Schedules
  • Oversee Environmental Monitoring (EMP), Pest Control (IPM), and CIP validation
  • Partner with Quality, Operations, and Maintenance to minimize contamination risk
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and corrective actions
  • Manage sanitation chemicals, equipment, and supply inventory
  • Train, coach, and lead sanitation teams across shifts
  • Drive continuous improvement using data and performance trends
  • Maintain audit readiness for internal, customer, and regulatory inspections

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sanitation experience in food or beverage manufacturing 
  • 2+ years of leadership experience 
  • Strong knowledge of FDA, USDA, GMPs, HACCP, and GFSI/SQF 
  • Experience with sanitation chemicals, CIP systems, and environmental monitoring 
  • Proven leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in food science, Microbiology, or related field 
  • Audit experience and continuous improvement background
