The Sandblast Operator safely operates industrial sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare building surfaces, troubleshoot equipment issues, and support production in a manufacturing and construction-oriented environment. This role requires comfort working in a fully enclosed mask and handling a long, heavy hose while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare building surfaces according to specifications and safety standards.
  • Handle and control a 2-inch, 100-foot hose while sandblasting building structures and components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic issues with sandblasting equipment to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure proper operation and identify potential maintenance needs.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of a fully enclosed mask and other required protective equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient operations.
  • Work collaboratively with team members in a manufacturing and construction-oriented setting to meet production goals.
  • Adhere to work schedules, including core hours and potential overtime, to support operational demands.
