To address these challenges, employers typically provide personal protective equipment (PPE) like full-face respirators, protective suits, and gloves. Comprehensive safety training and adherence to OSHA standards are also standard practices to minimize hazards. Work environments are usually well-ventilated, and regular equipment maintenance is prioritized to ensure safe operations.

What does a sandblaster do?

A sandblaster is responsible for cleaning, smoothing, or shaping a surface by blasting it with abrasive material, typically sand, under high pressure. This process is often used to remove paint, rust, or other debris from metal, concrete, or other surfaces before painting or coating. Sandblasters work in various industries, including construction, automotive, and manufacturing, and must follow safety protocols to protect themselves from dust and airborne particles.
