Job description

Plains Sand and Gravel in Springfield, NE is looking for motivated individuals to join our team. We have an immediate opening for a full-time Heavy Equipment Operator. Hours of operation are Monday- Friday 7am to 5pm with some overtime and weekends. Candidates must complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Position:

  • Equipment/ Dredge Operator-2 yrs. Experience Preferred

Job Duties:

*MUST BE ABLE TO PASS BACKGROUND CHECK

  • An Equipment Operator performs a variety of skilled duties associated with the operation of multiple types of equipment in a sand and gravel pit environment. This includes operating all equipment in compliance with the companyโ€™s safety policies and procedures. Our Equipment Operators also ensure that company equipment, materials and the work site are maintained, kept clean and stored in a safe manner.

Environmental Working Conditions

  • All work is performed outside in heat, cold, and inclement weather.
  • Exposure to all elements of nature

  • Work in close proximity to heavy traffic

Physical Requirements

  • Standing
