WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The QC Laboratory Coordinator will operate in full compliance with applicable hygiene, safety, quality, and regulatory standards, and in alignment with the organization's framework, company's procedures, and the defined scope of responsibility the role is accountable for.
The QC Laboratory Coordinator supports daily operations in QC Chemistry and Microbiology labs by managing sample logistics, documentation, and laboratory supplies within a GMP environment. The role ensures proper sample tracking and chain of custody from receipt through testing and storage. It also provides administrative support, maintains inventory of consumables and reagents, and collaborates with QC, Manufacturing, Warehouse, and QA teams to ensure efficient, compliant, and inspection-ready laboratory operations.
YOUR ROLE
  • Receive, inspect, and log all sample types (raw materials, in-process, finished product, EM, water, stability) in accordance with GDP and GMP requirements
  • Verify sample integrity, labeling, and documentation; escalate discrepancies as needed
  • Maintain proper sample identification, traceability, and chain of custody throughout the lifecycle
  • Prioritize and route samples to Chemistry and Microbiology labs based on timelines and testing needs
  • Ensure appropriate storage conditions (ambient, refrigerated, frozen) and maintain location traceability
  • Manage stability and reserve samples, including storage, tracking, and compliance requirements
  • Maintain and organize laboratory documentation (SOPs, forms, logs) to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Ensure controlled documents are current and properly available in laboratory areas
  • Support document control activities including filing, distribution, and archiving in accordance with GDP
  • Monitor and manage inventory of consumables, reagents, and small equipment
  • Coordinate ordering, receipt, and storage to ensure uninterrupted laboratory operations
  • Track stock levels and proactively communicate potential shortages
  • Communicate sample status, priorities, and constraints to laboratory teams and stakeholders
  • Maintain tracking tools for sample status, turnaround time, and workflow visibility
  • Support efficient laboratory operations through coordination with QC, Manufacturing, Warehouse, and QA
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management

YOUR BACKGROUND
Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in a scientific discipline
  • 2+ years of experience in a GMP pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device environment
  • Experience with laboratory sample management, documentation control, or laboratory coordination activities

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline
  • Familiarity with QC Chemistry and Microbiology laboratory workflows
  • Experience with LIMS or similar laboratory information systems
