Job description

  • The Warehouse & Logistic Clerk is responsible for the timely shipping of all outbound Sabert customer orders, assisting with inventory control, communicate daily with Sabert customer service representatives and sometimes with Sales to achieve the best level of service for the end customer. They are also responsible for filling all sample requests in a timely manner, actively participating in cycle counting, and other duties as assigned.

    The Warehouse & Logistic Clerk position is cross-functional and employees in this position will need to be flexible so that a balance of shipping and samples orders are completed based on daily business needs. Employees in this role will need to know all functions, so that they can assist others as needed and during periods of absences and/or vacations.

    Some expectations are: Arrive on time daily, perform job safely, productively, and with quality results, perform job effectively and efficiently, exhibit team work, learn the job requirements based on company expectations, and follow company policies and procedures.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    Safety

    • Work according to all Safety rules in warehouse environment.
    • Report to Safety Manager or the Safety Coordinator any violations of safety or safety concerns.

    Housekeeping

    • Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) rules in Warehouse environment.

    Detailed Duties List

    • Daily reconciliation of Sabert and/or Sealed Air drop zone.
    • Schedule all Sabert outbound shipments based on guidelines set by Warehouse Supervisor and/or Warehouse Manager.
    • Print pick list for dock forklift driver on all shipments for scheduled day.
    • Prepares & ensures all shipping documents including Bills of Lading, Pick Lists and Packing Slips are completed for all outgoing shipments.
    • Finalize shipments in SAP to remove from inventory system once it has left facility, as needed.
    • Confirm final rate for shipment and note on BOL before turning in to customer service.
    • Maintain Sabert truck history in spreadsheet.
    • Update Sabert rate matrix as needed by Warehouse Supervisor and/or Warehouse Manager.
    • Assist quality department with maintaining accurate hold area inventory.
    • Assist in research and reconciliation of any inventory discrepancies.
    • Process & ship all sample requests as received from sales and customers.
    • Update sample request log with tracking information.
    • Replenish, as necessary, standard sample parts on sample rack from inventory.
    • Label and package sample kits.
    • Keep sample inventory spreadsheet up to date, including adding new products, prototype samples, and updating quantities.
    • Keep sample area clean and organized.
    • Repackage sample parts as necessary.
    • Cross train with other clerks to ensure that skill sets continue to be up to date with SOP's.
    • Ensure all work is done completely and accurately
    • Ensure all work is done effectively and efficiently
    • Ensure all work is done consistent with Standard Operating Procedures ("SOPs")
    • Perform other duties as requested

    Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office products
    • Forklift License is a must
    • Prior logistics & Inventory background
    • Flexibility to adapt to change based on business needs

    Schedule:

    • Monday - Friday from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm
