Job Title: PIM (Product Information Management) Implementation Specialist

Overview
We are seeking a PIM Implementation Specialist to lead the configuration, customization, and technical integration of our new Product Information Management (PIM) platform. This role will serve as the technical subject matter expert (SME), ensuring that the PIM system is implemented, optimized, and maintained to support the needs of merchandising, eCommerce, and marketing teams.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical professional with experience in PIM platforms, data modeling, API integrations, and enterprise systems, paired with a strong ability to translate complex business needs into effective technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
System Configuration & Implementation
  • Lead the end-to-end configuration of PIM features, attributes, workflows, hierarchies, and roles.
  • Develop and manage data models to support multi-channel retail needs (e.g., eCommerce, in-store).
  • Build and optimize automated workflows for product data enrichment, approvals, and publishing.
  • Partner with browse technical leads to develop and build preview capabilities for PIM system in pre-built staging environment
  • Partner with the vendor and internal stakeholders to execute migration of existing product data with accuracy and completeness.

Integration & Technical Support
  • Develop and maintain API connections, scripts, and data pipelines to support seamless information flow into and out of the PIM
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during and after implementation, acting as the primary technical contact for PIM
  • Integration support and build for selected translation vendor, Writer AI, as well as data enrichment software supporting attribution downstream
  • Investigate and solution PIM AI capabilities supporting product attribution including extraction from PDF tech pack and/or image recognition Optimization & Continuous Improvement
  • Monitor platform performance and proactively identify opportunities to enhance configuration, automation, and usability.
  • Stay up to date on PIM vendor updates and best practices to maximize the platform's potential.
  • Document technical configurations, workflows, and integration points for future reference and training.

Collaboration & Training
  • Collaborate with business and product managers to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Support user training by creating technical documentation, configuration guides, and process diagrams.
  • Provide ongoing technical support and mentorship to super-users and internal IT teams.

Qualifications
Required:
  • 5+ years of technical experience implementing or managing enterprise PIM platforms (e.g., Salsify, Inriver, Akeneo, Riversand, Informatica).
  • Hands-on expertise in configuring PIM features, workflows, and integrations.
  • Strong understanding of data models, attributes, taxonomies, and governance.
  • Proficiency in APIs, scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript), and data formats (JSON, XML, CSV).
  • Experience with ETL processes and integration tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, Data Fusion, Cloud).
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with an eye for process optimization.

Preferred:
  • Retail, eCommerce, or consumer goods experience.
  • Knowledge of related enterprise systems (ERP, PLM, DAM, eCommerce, CMS platforms).
  • Familiarity with agile or DevOps environments for managing system changes and releases.
