Job Description: Salesforce Software Developer

Job Summary:

Cisco is looking for an experienced Salesforce Software Developer with a strong background in Salesforce Experience Cloud (Community Cloud), Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and LWC component development. The ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience and expertise in building scalable, high-performance applications within the Salesforce ecosystem.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing custom Salesforce solutions to enhance user experiences and drive business growth. You will work in an Agile environment using JIRA, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, business analysts, and other developers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Salesforce Development & Customization:
    • Develop and customize Salesforce Experience Cloud, Sales Cloud and Service Cloudsolutions.
    • Build Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Apex Classes, Triggers, Flows, and APIs to enhance platform capabilities.
    • Design and implement custom objects, workflows, validation rules, and process automation to optimize business operations.
    • Integrate Salesforce with third-party applications using REST/SOAP APIs, Salesforce Connect, and External Data Sources.
    • Working knowledge of Salesforce Agent force /AI Tools
  • Technical Design & Architecture:
    • Collaborate with solution architects and stakeholders to design scalable and maintainable Salesforce solutions.
    • Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices in Salesforce development.
    • Optimize Apex, SOQL, and JavaScript performance for efficient processing of large data sets.
  • Agile & Collaboration:
    • Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives in an Agile/Scrum environment.
    • Use JIRA for tracking development tasks, bug fixes, and sprint progress.
    • Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Testing & Deployment:
    • Implement unit testing, functional testing, and end-to-end testing to ensure high-quality code.
    • Deploy solutions using Salesforce DevOps tools such as Copado, Github.
  • Documentation & Communication:
    • Write clear and concise technical documentation for developed solutions.
    • Provide training and support to end-users and stakeholders.
    • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in Salesforce development, with expertise in Salesforce Experience Cloud
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Flows, Process Builder, and other automation tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce data modeling, security, and sharing rules.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment using JIRA.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with CI/CD, version control (Git, Bitbucket), and Salesforce DevOps tools (Copado) is a plus.
  • Salesforce Certifications (e.g., Salesforce Platform Developer I & II, Sales Cloud Consultant, Community Cloud Consultant) are preferred.
  • Knowledge of MuleSoft, Heroku or other middleware tools for integrations.
