Position Overview

We are seeking a Salesforce Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain Salesforce solutions that support enterprise digital platforms and customer, dealer, and partner-facing experiences. This role blends hands-on development across Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce Flow with integration work, solution architecture, and cross-functional collaboration in an Agile delivery environment.

Key Contributions & Responsibilities

Salesforce Application Development

Design, develop, implement, test, and maintain Salesforce solutions using Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Develop Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, JavaScript, SOQL/SOSL, and Salesforce APIs.

Configure and customize Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, and related platform capabilities.

Implement declarative solutions using Flow, validation rules, custom objects, record-triggered automation, approval processes, and platform configuration.

Develop integrations between Salesforce and enterprise applications using REST, SOAP, Platform Events, middleware, and event-driven architecture patterns.

Participate in solution architecture design, code reviews, technical documentation, release planning, and platform optimization activities.

Technical Problem Solving

Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable Salesforce designs.

Troubleshoot Apex, LWC, automation, data, integration, deployment, and platform performance issues.

Optimize Salesforce security and access controls using profiles, permission sets, permission set groups, sharing rules, role hierarchy, and field-level security.

Apply Salesforce development best practices, design patterns, and secure software engineering standards to build reliable enterprise solutions.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with Product Owners, Salesforce Administrators, Salesforce Architects, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers, system analysts, and business stakeholders.

Gather, analyze, and refine functional and technical requirements for Salesforce initiatives and integrations.

Communicate platform capabilities, solution designs, project updates, and implementation approaches clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Participate in Agile sprint planning, standups, backlog refinement, release readiness, and production-support activities.

Testing & Quality Assurance

Develop and execute unit, integration, regression, and user-acceptance testing for Salesforce solutions.

Maintain Apex test coverage and support mock testing for integrations and asynchronous processes.

Use Salesforce DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment quality and release reliability.

Ensure compliance with Salesforce security, platform governance, and coding standards.

Continuous Improvement

Contribute to Salesforce development standards, reusable components, and coding guidelines.

Identify opportunities to improve business processes through Salesforce capabilities, integrations, automation, and data quality improvements.

Research and implement emerging Salesforce technologies, platform releases, and AI-assisted development tools.

Support knowledge sharing, technical documentation, and mentoring of junior engineers when applicable.

Team Structure & Work Environment

Contribute to a range of technical solutions, including digital platforms, customer-, dealer-, and partner-facing Salesforce experiences, Experience Cloud portals, internal business tools, workflow automation, and API-led integrations.

Hybrid work model with 1-2 office days per week; candidates should be prepared to transition to full-time onsite work in the future.
