Salesforce Partnership information

What is a Salesforce Partnership?

A Salesforce Partnership refers to a business relationship with Salesforce, where a company becomes an official partner to deliver Salesforce-related products, services, or solutions. Partners can range from consulting firms that help clients implement Salesforce to independent software vendors (ISVs) that build applications on the Salesforce platform. These partnerships offer access to resources, training, and marketing opportunities to help partners grow their business and better serve customers. Becoming a Salesforce Partner often requires meeting certain criteria, such as certifications, proven expertise, and customer success stories.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in a Salesforce Partnership role?

To thrive in a Salesforce Partnership role, you need a strong understanding of Salesforce products, partner ecosystem dynamics, and business development, often backed by experience in sales or account management. Familiarity with Salesforce CRM, Partner Community, and relevant Salesforce certifications (such as Salesforce Certified Administrator or Partner Sales certifications) is highly valued. Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills are essential for managing diverse stakeholders and fostering successful collaborations. These competencies are crucial for driving joint business growth, maximizing partner potential, and ensuring mutual success in the Salesforce ecosystem.

How does a Salesforce Partnership role typically interact with cross-functional teams within an organization?

In a Salesforce Partnership role, you will frequently collaborate with cross-functional teams such as sales, marketing, product development, and customer success to align partnership strategies with broader business goals. This often involves coordinating joint go-to-market initiatives, negotiating co-selling agreements, and ensuring effective communication between internal teams and Salesforce counterparts. Building strong relationships both internally and externally is key, as successful partnerships rely on seamless cooperation and clear mutual objectives. Expect regular meetings, strategy sessions, and collaborative projects as part of your day-to-day responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong Salesforce development background across Lightning Experience (LEX), Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex, integrations, data, and platform security. While this is a hands-on development position, the role requires someone who can understand business workflows and translate them into scalable, user-friendly Salesforce solutions.

The primary focus of the position will be UI/UX development, improving how Sales users interact with Salesforce and simplifying complex business processes through thoughtful application design and automation.  The role will also have an AI-forward focus, I with opportunities to incorporate artificial intelligence into the Salesforce ecosystem. Experience with Salesforce Agentforce, Snowflake Cortex, or similar enterprise AI technologies is highly desirable.

Salesforce operates within a broader technology and data ecosystem that includes Snowflake, making experience with Snowflake, data integration/ETL, APIs, and AI-enabled data solutions an additional advantage.

Responsibilities

The candidate is expected to:

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support solutions across the Salesforce Sales platform with a strong emphasis on UI/UX
  • Develop modern and intuitive Salesforce user experiences using Lightning Experience (LEX), Lightning Web Components (LWC), Lightning App Builder, and related Salesforce technologies
  • Develop and maintain custom Salesforce functionality using Apex, SOQL/SOSL, triggers, asynchronous processing, APIs, and platform automation
  • Develop and support integrations between Salesforce and enterprise platforms using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, event-driven integrations, and other integration patterns
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Salesforce security, including profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, role hierarchy, field-level security, connected applications, OAuth, and integration security
  • Participate in code reviews, automated testing, release management, deployment activities, troubleshooting, and production support
  • Partner closely with Sales Enablement stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions
  • Collaborate with enterprise architecture, security, data, infrastructure, and other technology teams when designing solutions that extend beyond Salesforce
  • Support integration and data movement between Salesforce and Snowflake, including ETL/ELT processes and APIs, while exploring opportunities to incorporate AI and intelligent automation into Salesforce workflows and Sales Enablement processes, including technologies such as Salesforce Agentforce and Snowflake Cortex
  • Remain current on Salesforce releases, platform capabilities, security changes, development practices, and emerging AI technologies
Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional Salesforce development experience, including hands-on experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), integrations, and platform configuration
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with enterprise data platforms such as Snowflake
  • Experience working in financial services, investment management, asset management, or other highly regulated environments
  • Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I/II, JavaScript Developer I, Platform App Builder, or relevant Salesforce AI certifications
  • Experience with Salesforce Agentforce and/or Einstein AI capabilities
  • Experience building or integrating AI agents and AI-enabled business workflows
  • Experience with Snowflake, including data integration, ETL/ELT, Cortex AI or other enterprise generative AI platforms
  • Understanding of semantic data models, LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI application patterns
