Headquartered in Philadelphia, ParetoHealth is growing rapidly and transforming one of the country's largest industries. Our success is fueled by talented people who are united by our four core values: Fire in the Belly, For the Greater Good, See the Field, and Get It Done Right. These values shape how we innovate, collaborate, make decisions, and deliver exceptional results for our clients and one another.

If you're energized by solving complex challenges, thrive in a high-growth environment, and want to help reshape the future of healthcare, we'd love to meet you.

Position Summary:

As a Salesforce Engineer, you will be both a hands-on builder and a strategic technical partner. You will work closely with product managers, business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to translate business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions. This role requires strong technical depth, sound judgment in solution design, and the ability to balance speed, quality, maintainability, and long-term platform health.

The ideal candidate has experience designing and implementing Salesforce solutions across complex business processes, enjoys solving ambiguous problems, and is comfortable working across declarative configuration, custom development, integrations, and architecture discussions. Experience using AI-assisted development tools or applying AI capabilities within Salesforce workflows is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, or related Salesforce products.
  • Partner with product, operations, sales, service, and engineering stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Provide architecture and solutioning guidance for Salesforce initiatives, including data model design, automation strategy, integration patterns, security, and platform scalability.
  • Develop custom Salesforce functionality using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, SOQL, APIs, and other platform capabilities.
  • Evaluate when to use declarative tools versus custom code, with a focus on maintainability, performance, and long-term platform governance.
  • Support integrations between Salesforce and internal or external systems using REST APIs, middleware, event-driven patterns, or other integration approaches.
  • Participate in technical design reviews, code reviews, release planning, and deployment activities.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement durable fixes.
  • Help establish and improve Salesforce engineering best practices, including testing, documentation, CI/CD, environment management, and release governance.
  • Collaborate with data, analytics, product, and engineering teams to ensure Salesforce data and processes support broader business and reporting needs.
  • Explore and apply AI-enabled tools and capabilities to improve engineering productivity, business workflows, automation, and user experience.

Required Skill & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Salesforce implementation, engineering, or platform development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, SOQL, validation rules, custom objects, permission sets, sharing rules, and Salesforce security models.
  • Experience designing Salesforce solutions for complex business processes, not just implementing predefined requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound technical tradeoffs across configuration, customization, integration, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Experience with Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware platforms, ETL tools, platform events, or similar technologies.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data modeling, automation patterns, governor limits, deployment practices, and platform constraints.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous environments and bringing structure to complex business and technical problems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms.
  • Experience applying AI capabilities within Salesforce, business automation, service workflows, knowledge management, or productivity tooling.
  • Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I/II, Administrator, App Builder, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, or Application/System Architect credentials.
  • Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools and CI/CD practices, such as Gearset, Copado, Salesforce DX, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience in healthcare, benefits, insurance, fintech, or other regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with data governance, master data management, analytics, or enterprise reporting needs.

Perks & Benefits:

  • Fully paid medical, dental, and vision benefits.
  • Flexible PTO
  • 401k company contribution
  • Tuition reimbursement
  • Professional development allowance
  • Transportation allowance and daily parking reimbursement
  • Engaging hybrid work environment
We are guided by our values:

Fire in the belly

The drive to learn, to improve, and to deliver outstanding value every day.

See the field

The ability to see the big picture and prepare to meet tomorrow's needs.

Get it done right

The passion to produce at higher rates and to the highest standards.

For the greater good

A united community creating better health benefit solutions for all.
