HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager with strong technical expertise in semiconductor systems (preferably PVD) to drive growth across key markets including compound semiconductor, advanced packaging, MEMS, photonics, and R&D sectors. This individual will identify strategic opportunities, foster key customer relationships, and work closely with product, sales, and engineering teams to position our advanced vacuum deposition solutions for market success.

Achievement of objectives must include an overriding commitment to quality that must permeate the areas of responsibility. Enable and Drive Change in the Organization.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to grow sales of PVD/evaporation tools in North America and/or global markets.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new customers and market segments (e.g., foundries, OEMs, research labs, universities).
  • Build strong technical and commercial relationships with key stakeholders including engineers, scientists, and procurement teams.
  • Understand customer application needs and align them with product capabilities and value propositions.
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, and service teams to define customer-driven features and solutions.
  • Lead technical sales discussions and presentations; support customer evaluations and proposal development.
  • Track market trends, competitor activity, and technology roadmaps to shape growth strategies.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote brand visibility and build networks.
  • Deliver accurate forecasts, pipeline tracking, and performance reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related field (advanced degree a plus).
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or product management within the semiconductor equipment industry.
  • Proven ability to understand and communicate complex technical solutions to a broad audience.
  • Strong network within compound semiconductor, R&D, or photonics sectors is highly desirable.
  • Self-starter with excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 30-50% as needed (domestic and occasional international).

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of vacuum science, thin film deposition processes, and cleanroom environments.
  • Experience working with global cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales pipeline management (e.g., Salesforce).
