Job description

Copado is the leading DevOps platform for Salesforce, revolutionizing how the world's largest organizations achieve success in their Salesforce deployments. Our mission is to accelerate the Salesforce development lifecycle, support digital transformation, and deliver unparalleled value to our customers. We continuously innovate, ensuring our platform meets the evolving needs of Salesforce developers and operations professionals.

The Director of Renewals, AMER is a senior leadership role responsible for owning and scaling the full renewal motion across the Americas region. You will lead a team of Renewals Managers, set regional strategy, and serve as the executive point of accountability for Gross Revenue Retention (GRR) and Net Revenue Retention (NRR) outcomes. You will partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Legal leadership to build scalable processes, drive forecast accuracy, and ensure customers are positioned for long‑term success with Copado. This role requires a proven operator who can balance hands‑on deal leadership with team development and cross‑functional influence at the executive level.

Responsibilities
  • Renewals Leadership: Lead, coach, and scale a team of Renewals Managers across the AMER region, setting clear performance expectations and fostering a high‑accountability culture.
  • Revenue Retention Ownership: Own GRR and NRR targets for the AMER book of business, driving strategy and execution to meet or exceed retention goals quarter over quarter.
  • Strategic Renewal Planning: Develop and execute a regional renewals strategy that accounts for customer segmentation, risk tiering, and expansion potential across the full renewal lifecycle.
  • Executive Escalation & Deal Leadership: Serve as the senior escalation point for complex, high‑value, or at‑risk renewals, engaging directly with customer executives and internal stakeholders to drive resolution.
  • Forecasting & Reporting: Own regional renewal forecasting with a high degree of accuracy; deliver executive‑level reporting on pipeline health, churn risk, and retention performance to senior leadership.
  • Process & Tooling Excellence: Define, implement, and continuously improve renewal workflows, playbooks, and tooling to increase team efficiency and reduce time‑to‑close.
  • Contract & Compliance Governance: Partner with Legal and Finance leadership to ensure contract terms are current, compliant, and aligned with company policy; eliminate contract expiration risk across the region.
  • Cross‑functional Partnership: Build strong working relationships with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Finance leadership to align on customer health signals, expansion opportunities, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Expansion & Upsell Strategy: Collaborate with Account Executives and CSMs to identify and accelerate expansion opportunities, increasing Copado's footprint and revenue within the existing customer base.
  • Talent Development: Recruit, onboard, and develop renewals talent; build a bench of high‑performing professionals capable of growing within the organization.
Requirements
  • You have 8+ years of experience in Renewals, Sales, or Customer Success within a SaaS organization, with at least 3 years in a people management or team leadership capacity.
  • You have a demonstrated track record of owning and exceeding GRR and NRR targets at scale.
  • You have exceptional executive communication and negotiation skills, with experience engaging C‑suite stakeholders on both the customer and internal side.
  • You are highly analytical, with the ability to build and manage accurate forecasts and translate data into actionable strategy.
  • You are a strong people leader who can inspire, develop, and hold a team accountable in a fast‑moving environment.
  • You have deep experience with renewal tooling, CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred), and revenue operations workflows.
This Role Is For You If
  • You are energetic and thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑growth global environment.
  • You lead with an agile mindset and continuously drive process improvement across your team.
  • You want to play a defining role in shaping the renewals function at a scaling DevOps company.
  • You are motivated by building, not just managing, and see this role as an opportunity to leave a lasting organizational impact.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary and performance‑based bonuses.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) Plan.
  • Paid Time Off.
  • Wellness Perks.

The pay range for this role is: 175,000 - 225,000 USD per year (Chicago, Denver, New Orleans).
