Senior Data Analyst – Power BI, SQL & Salesforce

Folsom, CA

Description

The Software Developer will perform the following job duties under the supervision of senior developers:

  • Assist in developing and modifying software solutions by building and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards using established data models, simple DAX measures, and guided ETL processes.
  • Design, implement, and maintain interactive BI dashboards and reporting solns. using MSoft Power BI. Configure dashboards that present operational metrics, perf. indicators, and analytical summaries through structured vis. components incl. KPI crds., matrices, bar/line charts, and timeseries visualizations.
  • Utilize enterprise data models and imp. Data Analysis Expressions formulas to calc. aggregated metrics (totals, averages, ratios, and trend-based indicators).
  • Config. data refresh pipelines and apply transformation logic in Power Query to support automated ETL workflows to synchronize dashboards with enterprise dta.sources.
  • Analyzing information from multiple sources (Excel, Salesforce, SQL databases, SharePoint, AWS S3) and integrate data into existing Power BI and Salesforce reporting applications following team templates.
  • Retrieve + analyze structured datasets from multiple enterprise platforms including spreadsheets, CRM systems, relational databases, collaboration platforms, and cloud storage repositories.
  • Access datasets from Excel files, Salesforce rep. objects, SQL dbase.tables and views, SharePoint doc. libraries, + cloud-based stor. buckets hosted in Amzn. S3.
  • Utilize Power BI data connectors and SQL-based queries to extrt. Relev. Datasets + perform data prep. tasks such as schema normalization, datatype conversion, duplicate removal, and relat. joins. Construct integ. data tables and struct. datasets to support centralized analytics + enterprise report. Solutions.
  • Use expertise in var. design patterns and in various integ. options including native Salesforce APIs and external solutions.
  • Confer with program managers and stakeholders to clarify reporting requirements; create or update standard recurring reports and respond to routine ad-hoc data requests using Power BI, Excel, and Salesforce tools.
  • Dev. recurring reports and dashboards that summarize metrics including op. perf., prog. utilization levels, project status indicators, + departmental outcomes.
  • Generate adhoc analytical reports and custom. visualizations using Power BI, Excel, and Salesforce reporting tools. Produce filt. datasets, summary aggregations, and visual analytics to allow stholders. to eval. trends, compare hist. perf. metrics, and analyze op. l data across rep. periods.
  • Automate file handling + processing for archival in AWS S3 and Connect.
  • Correct errors and improve functionality of existing reporting workflows by testing dashboards, fixing basic data refresh issues, and automating routine file uploads/downloads to AWS S3 using provided scripts.
  • Perform validation testing + troubleshooting for dashboards, reporting logic, and automated data refresh processes.
  • Analyze data refresh logs and reporting outputs to idfy. inconsistencies + other discrepancies. Impmnt. corrective updates to transformation logic, DAX calcs., confign. settings, or dataset relatshps. to maintain reporting accuracy.
  • Support automated data proc. pipelines by executing sched. scripts + workflows that upload / retrieve structd. datafiles between enterprise systems and AWSS3 storage environments ensuring reliable data availability for reporting apps.
  • Incorporate results from user feedback surveys into pre-built Power BI or Excel summary reports for business stakeholders.
  • Integrate survey resp. datasets and user feedback info into structured reporting solutions used by bus. Stakeholders. Validate survey input data, perform data transformation + formatting processes, and load processed datasets into Power BI /Excel based templates.
Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related.
