Twist Bioscience is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Director, Sales Training to design, implement, and manage comprehensive training programs for our global sales organization focused on Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) and DNA Synthesis (SynBio) products and services. This critical role requires a unique blend of expertise in professional sales training, a deep understanding of biological concepts (NGS, SynBio), and the ability to translate complex scientific information into compelling, customer-focused sales strategies.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Leadership: Lead the overall strategy, development, and execution of the sales training curriculum, including new hire onboarding, ongoing product education, and advanced sales skill training.Scientific and Product Training: In partnership with technical leaders, develop and deliver specialized training modules on NGS, SynBio, and Twist Bioscience's product portfolio. This includes technical applications, competitive positioning, and value-based selling in a life science context.Sales Process Training: Train sales employees on core sales methodologies, territory management, pipeline acceleration, negotiation, and utilization of CRM tools to drive consistent sales performance.Content Development: Create engaging, relevant, and high-quality training materials, including presentations, workbooks, eLearning modules, and practical role-playing exercises.Performance Measurement: Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and continuously iterate on content and delivery methods to improve sales team competence and quota attainment.Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Product Management, and Scientific Affairs to ensure training content aligns with business objectives and product launch strategies.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in a Life Science discipline (e.g., Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics) is required.

An advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) is a plus.Experience in Sales: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a direct sales role within the Life Science, Biotechnology, or Diagnostics industries, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.Experience in Training: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales training, preferably in a technical or scientific environment, focusing on complex product lines.Scientific Expertise: Strong, demonstrable knowledge of NGS technologies and workflows, as well as Synthetic Biology applications and market trends.Skills: Exceptional presentation, communication, and facilitation skills.
