POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant General Manager is responsible for managing restaurant operations in conjunction with or in the absence of the General Manager. The Assistant General Manager uses discretion in daily management decisions with accountability for living the Brand values and helping the brand thrive. The Assistant General Manager focuses on supporting the General Manager to develop a people and guest-centric culture that consistently delivers excellent guest service and food quality while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain fast, accurate service and serve as a role model for restaurant hospitality.
  • Respond to guest questions, concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner to ensure positive resolution and guest experience.
  • Train, develop, coach, and evaluate employee performance. Ensure systems for training employees are fully implemented and followed.
  • Work with the leadership team to meet sales goals, including participation in marketing programs.
  • Partner with leadership team and General Manager to increase catering sales.
  • Train, monitor, and reinforce food safety procedures.
  • Manage food and labor costs.
  • Monitor food inventory levels and order product when necessary.
  • Manage and maintain safe and productive working conditions.
  • Anticipate and identify problems and initiate appropriate corrective action.
  • Ensure continual improvement of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
  • Identify and develop internal candidates for Shift Lead positions.
  • Execute company policies and procedures and ensure compliance with all local, state and federal labor laws and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent education required. Age requirements may apply in order to remain in compliance with State and Federal laws.
Experience: Preference of two years QSR experience with at least six months of experience in a leadership position.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Excellent prioritization, interpersonal, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Highly motivated and organized. Can take direction from individuals in higher-level positions. Demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with proven ability to recruit, hire, coach, train and motivate employees. Must have a valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift equipment and cases of product weighing approximately 10-50 lbs. Must be able to speak and hear clearly on the telephone and in person. Must be able to proficiently operate a computer (i.e., desktop, tablet, etc.)
