Job description

Job Summary: The Sales Support Representative - Cabinets serves as a first point of contact and customer-focused sales and design resource, guiding walk-in retail customers and internet-generated leads through the cabinet selection and purchasing process. This role is responsible for identifying customer needs, qualifying project opportunities, building strong client relationships, and delivering an exceptional showroom experience that supports retail sales growth and customer satisfaction. The position also provides support to the cabinetry sales team through order processing, project coordination, and showroom support to maintain an efficient workflow and ensure a seamless customer experience.

Responsibilities:

Retail Sales and Customer Experience

• Serve as the primary point of contact for walk-in retail customers and internet-generated leads
• Deliver a high-touch customer experience through proactive communication and project follow-through
• Assist customers in selecting cabinet styles, finishes, hardware, and accessories to meet design and budget goals
• Generate timely quotes and support customers throughout the purchasing process
• Improve responsiveness, engagement, and customer satisfaction throughout the sales experience
• Build strong customer relationships that encourage repeat business and referrals
• Maintain showroom displays and product sample organization to support customer engagement and sales

Product & Service Support and Coordination Responsibilities

  • Manage customer warranty claims and product service issues
  • Coordinate replacement orders for hinges, drawer components, door fronts, moldings, and discontinued items
  • Work directly with vendors to resolve product failures and damage claims
  • Track replacement timelines and ensure timely communication with customers
  • Assist with troubleshooting cabinetry and hardware concerns after installation

Design Team & Operation Support

  • Provide overflow support as retail and account volume continue to increase
  • Assist with administrative and customer service tasks to improve overall workflow efficiency
  • Help maintain project organization, scheduling, and customer communication during high-volume periods
  • Maintain showroom displays and product sample organization

Minimum Qualifications (MUST HAVE TO HIRE):

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
  • Previous retail, cabinetry, kitchen & bath, or sales support experience preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage detailed paperwork
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and point-of-sale or order-entry systems

Preferred Qualifications (NICE TO HAVE- NOT REQUIRED): 

  • Experience with cabinet design software such as 2020 Design or AutoCAD is a plus

Work Environment: Office environment which requires use of standard office equipment (phone, computer, copier, etc.). May require occasional trips to the lumber yard with exposure to loud sounds, moving vehicles, heavy equipment and machinery fumes. May require travel to other company locations in SE WI occasionally (less than 5% of work time).
