We are looking for aTerritory Manager/Outside Sales Representative to report out of the Louisville Branch to help take us to the next level!

Summary/Objective

The Territory Manager/Outside Sales Representative is responsible for increasing sales by gaining new customers and by growing and maintaining existing customers in accordance with a predetermined, aggressive monthly sales budget, with set targets for sales dollars, margin dollars, and margin percentages.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Achieves sales and profit objectives on a consistent basis. Promotes and sells entire product line. Maintains a relationship with existing customer accounts.
  • Must carry knowledge ofwindows, siding, and roofing.
  • Develops new customers and sales as per assigned goals or quotas.
  • Travels throughout designated sales territory to call on regular and prospective customers.
  • Creates loyalty among Mueller Roofing Distributors customers and sells value over price.
  • Reads blueprints, prepares take-offs, estimates, and formal quotes. Follow-up with customers.
  • Constantly strive and work to improve sales and customer service skills. Develops and maintains knowledge of industry products, trends, and technology.
  • Assists customers with credit application process.
  • Communicates, works with, and supports inside sales staff in a team effort to provide exceptional customer service in building loyal customer relationships.

  • Strong product knowledge across all lines.
Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, business, or marketing or three years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requires knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).

While performing the duties of this position, he/she is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions while traveling to or visiting job sites and contractors.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full‑time position, and regular days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additional days/hours may be warranted due to business needs.

Travel

While the Territory Manager/Outside Sales Representative is based out of the branch location, he/she will travel to customers, job sites, and events daily. Must possess a valid drivers’ license and provide a reliable vehicle for travel.

Other Skills and Abilities
  • Must speak and read English. Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
  • Excellent mathematical, negotiating, and reasoning skills are necessary.
