Job description

JOB SUMMARY


Marriott International is seeking a detail-oriented and business-focused professional to join the U.S. & Canada Sales Analytics organization as Manager, Account Sales Analytics & Reporting.


This entry-level position supports the analytics, reporting, and performance measurement solutions used by Marriott's Account Sales Organization (ASO). Working with guidance from experienced team members, the Manager will help prepare reports, maintain dashboards, validate data, and respond to routine analytical requests that support business decision-making and sales performance measurement.


The successful candidate will combine analytical curiosity, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. The role provides an opportunity to build experience with sales and customer data, improve recurring reporting processes, and support goal setting and compensation reporting activities.


This role supports the historical responsibilities of the U.S. & Canada Sales Reporting function while building foundational experience with Marriott's modern analytics and business intelligence capabilities.
CANDIDATE PROFILE


Education and Experience


Required

  • 2-year degree in Business Administration, related major

  •  4-year bachelor's degree in related quantitative discipline (finance, operations, economics, statistics, mathematics), or related major; 6 years of experience in relevant field.


Preferred

  • 1 year of hands-on experience developing reporting in SQL, Python, Tableau, and Power BI files to support technology transitions or system upgrades. 
  • 1 year working in analytics, data engineering, or business intelligence.
  • Experience collaborating within a team environment and following project priorities set by leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical progress and challenges to team members and managers.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field preferred.

Sales Performance Analytics

  • Prepare analyses that support Account Sales production tracking, account performance reporting, and sales effectiveness initiatives using established processes and templates.
  • Assist with identifying trends, variances, and exceptions in sales, customer, and account data.
  • Summarize findings in clear tables, charts, and written updates for review by experienced team members.

Reporting & Business Intelligence

  • Prepare, refresh, test, and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reports using established procedures.
  • Support self-service reporting by helping maintain accurate and clearly documented data and metrics.
  • Identify repetitive manual reporting steps and assist with process improvement and automation efforts.
  • Apply established metric definitions, KPI calculations, and reporting methodologies consistently.

Goal Setting & Compensation Analytics

  • Support annual and in-year sales goal-setting activities through data preparation and validation.
  • Assist with production tracking, sales performance measurement, and compensation reporting.
  • Validate production, roster, hierarchy, and account assignment data and research differences with guidance.
  • Document questions, issues, and enhancement ideas for review with team members and business partners.

Data Governance & Process Improvement

  • Validate and reconcile data from approved systems and reporting environments using established procedures.
  • Maintain documentation for business rules, data definitions, calculation methods, and recurring process steps.
  • Work with team members and Enterprise Data & Analytics partners to research data quality and reporting issues.
  • Support testing, documentation, and routine enhancements for sales analytics platforms and reporting processes.

Team & Stakeholder Support

  • Work with Sales Analytics team members and business partners to clarify routine reporting needs and data questions.
  • Help document business requirements and translate them into defined reporting tasks with guidance.
  • Communicate findings, progress, and questions clearly through concise written and verbal updates.
  • Escalate complex requests, data issues, and business decisions to experienced team members when appropriate.
