Job description

About Us

Founded in 1978, Homes by Avi is a well-established residential builder and developer operating in Calgary and Edmonton. For more than 45 years, we have earned a strong reputation for quality, thoughtful design and lasting relationships. Our multi-family division has delivered more than 40 communities over 23 years and includes Avi Construction Management, our merchant-building division for multi-family and mixed-use developments.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Housing, the Sales Manager will help shape the sales direction of our multi-family business. You will lead sales strategy, pricing, forecasting and market execution while coaching a team of four Area Sales Managers and three Sales Associates. Working with development, marketing and senior leadership, you will help achieve volume, margin, absorption and customer-experience objectives.

Our Current Portfolio

The role supports four active projects across Calgary: a 13-storey condominium development on 17th Avenue and townhome communities in the northwest, southwest and southeast quadrants of the city. This varied portfolio offers the opportunity to lead sales across distinct products, locations and customer markets.

What You'll Do

Lead, coach and develop the sales team, setting clear expectations and supporting strong performance

Develop and execute market-responsive sales strategies aligned with financial, customer and brand objectives

Drive sales performance against volume, margin and absorption targets across the portfolio

Guide pricing, competitive positioning and sales program adjustments using market intelligence and performance data

Collaborate with senior leadership on sales forecasts, budgets, targets and incentive programs

Partner with development, construction, finance and marketing on project execution, promotions and lead generation

Use CRM reporting and sales metrics to identify trends, opportunities and areas requiring attention

Strengthen sales processes and deliver a consistent, positive customer experience across all communities

What You Bring

Five or more years of progressive new-home sales experience; multi-family experience is strongly preferred

Demonstrated success leading, coaching or mentoring sales professionals and delivering results through others

Strong knowledge of pricing strategy, budgeting, forecasting, market analysis and sales performance measures

An understanding of the new-home customer journey and the realities of a builder or developer environment

Experience using CRM systems and sales data to guide decisions and improve performance

A practical, collaborative leadership style with the confidence to make decisions and follow through

A diploma or degree in business, marketing or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience is welcomed

What We Offer

Base salary plus a performance-based bonus and vehicle allowance

Comprehensive health, dental and vision benefits

An in-house RRSP matching program

Paid time off during our annual Christmas closure, when our showhomes close for 10 days

Employee Home Purchase, Volunteer and Wellness programs

Support for continued employee development

The stability and reputation of a company that has been building homes and communities for more than 45 years.
