Seeking an Automotive Sales Manager to assist in leading our incredible sales associates at 24 Ford

POSITION SUMMARY

The Sales Manager plays a supportive role within the dealership’s sales department, assisting the General Sales Manager (GSM) in driving operational performance, maximizing sales opportunities, and delivering outstanding customer satisfaction. The Sales Manager serves to ensure that dealership processes, standards, and customer-first values are upheld throughout daily operations. This role supports and promotes the Company’s core values: Commitment to Customer Service Excellence, Transparency, Building Long-Term Relationships, and Repeat Business, all focused on earning the trust of our customers and employees.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Staff Support

  • Assist the GSM in scheduling sales consultants and support staff to ensure effective showroom coverage.
  • Actively coach, mentor, and motivate sales consultants during daily interactions and sales engagements.
  • Participate in one-on-one training sessions with consultants to support ongoing skill development.
  • Monitor sales staff performance and assist GSM with tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), commissions, and productivity metrics.
  • Act as a point of contact for day-to-day questions or escalations from sales staff.
  • Support the GSM in maintaining a professional, accountable, and respectful work environment.

Sales Process & Customer Engagement

  • Ensure consistent adherence to the dealership’s sales process by supporting consultants during all stages of the sale.
  • Assist with managing showroom traffic, customer interactions, closing deals, and appointment follow-ups.
  • Oversee CRM utilization to ensure timely lead handling, data accuracy, and customer engagement.
  • Participate in daily "Save-a-Deal" meetings to identify opportunities and coach consultants on deal structuring.
  • Support consultants during negotiations and final deal presentations, ensuring a smooth transition to the finance department.
  • Handle minor customer concerns or complaints, escalating to the GSM when necessary.


QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of five (5) years of automotive sales experience, including at least two (2) years in a supervisory or management capacity, required.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales performance KPIs and managing a successful retail sales team.
  • Comprehensive understanding of dealership financial operations, including gross profit analysis, expense control, and sales forecasting.
  • Solid understanding of retail automotive sales operations and customer engagement.
  • Ability to lead with a team-first, customer-focused attitude.
  • Comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and coaching skills.
