To thrive as a Sales Director, you need extensive experience in sales management, strategic planning, and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets, often supported by a degree in business or a related field. Building strong interdepartmental relationships is essential for ensuring that sales targets are supported by company-wide initiatives, and effective collaboration often leads to more cohesive strategies and better overall results.
