Job description

Sales Development Representative

Location: Onsite at HQ - Fort Lauderdale, FL

Reports To: Sales Development Manager

ShipMonk is one of the fastest-growing names in eCommerce fulfillment, and our pipeline demand is outpacing our capacity to source it. If you love hunting for deals, thrive on big numbers, and want a clear runway to a full-cycle closing role, this is your seat.

We focus on mid-market and enterprise merchants in Apparel, Health & Beauty, and Supplements - and we're growing this team because of our continued success in the market.

The company behind you

When you dial, you're representing a category leader merchants already want to hear from:

  • 3M+ sq ft across 12+ fulfillment centers on three continents
  • $365M in growth funding, 2,300+ team members globally, bootstrapped and profitable with real stability behind your paycheck
  • Business of the Year (South Florida Business Journal), Deloitte Technology Fast 500, and multi-year Inc. 5000. ShipMonk is a brand that opens doors
  • Proprietary technology: we've eliminated the need for tribal knowledge with our AI-powered platform - a real-time, unified view of inventory and orders that gives our merchants the control and visibility they need to succeed
  • Committed to the future: we invest over $10 million annually in research and development to ensure our technology and services continually evolve, helping merchants plant roots with a partner who is here to stay
  • Already fulfilling orders for your favorite brands: Dr. Squatch, LiquidIV, Nutrafol, Arctic Cool, Create Wellness

What you'll do:

Source and qualify the right accounts

You're the first ShipMonk contact every future client ever has. Build target lists that fit our ideal customer profile, then read the buying signals that tell you who's ready. You prioritize the accounts with real pain, not just the next name on a list.

Run a prospecting engine that's already built

You won't cold-guess your way through the day. We hand you an intent-based outbound motion with trigger-based cadences and a lead-scoring model that flags the hottest accounts. You bring the reps and the personalization; the system points you at the right doors.

Spark interest and run discovery

Lead with a crisp, pain-led pitch and run discovery that uncovers a prospect's real fulfillment pain, from shipping spend to inventory headaches, and position ShipMonk as the fix.

Set meetings that turn into revenue

Book qualified meetings for our Senior Fulfillment Consultants (our AEs) and hand off clean, well-scoped opportunities with the context, agenda, and notes they need to win. You win when they win.

Own your CRM and your craft

Keep Salesforce accurate and current so nothing slips and every handoff is airtight. Learn ShipMonk's products and the eCommerce logistics market fast enough to speak your prospect's language, and get a little better every single week.

Support and Resources

You are not doing this alone. We invest in a full support system so you spend your time selling, not scrambling.

  • Coaching from a manager who still sells: your manager runs live deals and reviews your calls weekly, so you're developed by someone in the arena, not just handed a script
  • A closing team that wants your meetings: partner directly with the Senior Fulfillment Consultants who close what you source, with a real feedback loop and shared wins
  • Marketing that warms the door: brand awareness, content, and campaigns that drive inbound demand and give you warmer doors to knock on
  • Partnerships and databases: a growing partner and referral network, plus direct access to contact and account databases to reach the right person fast

What you'll need:

We hire for ambition and coachability first. If you've got the drive and you're close on the rest, we'll teach you the playbook.

  • 1-2 years of SDR, Account Executive, or customer-facing experience with evidence of ambition and the ability to source outbound pipeline. Previous 3PL or Fulfillment experience is a plus.
  • Energized by a competitive, high-activity environment and by hitting big goals
  • Strong communication and a natural ability to build rapport fast
  • Comfortable with CRMs (Salesforce preferred) and sales engagement tools (Apollo.io)
  • Sharp organization and time-management instincts
  • A fast learner who shuts down ambiguity and masters new information quickly
  • A collaborative team player who makes the people around them better
  • Willing to be onsite up to 5 days per week at our Fort Lauderdale, FL HQ

Why this role

  • A true launchpad: the on-ramp to a full-cycle closing seat as an Account Executive or Account Manager, in a company scaling fast enough to have room for you
  • Learn to sell the right way: with coaching, a modern toolkit, and leadership genuinely invested in your growth
  • Real impact: you drive the new-business pipeline that fuels ShipMonk's global expansion
  • A category leader: represent a category leader in 3PL fulfillment, not just another vendor

Working at ShipMonk

  • Best-in-class comp: a competitive base salary plus performance commission and accelerators that pay you more for beating targets (OTE range is $67,000 - $125K. Salary paid weekly, commissions paid monthly)
  • Flexible PTO plus 7 paid US holidays
  • Generous company 401(k) matching
  • Merit reviews that reward results
  • Comprehensive health, vision, and dental
  • A casual, upbeat, inclusive culture where you can be yourself and still Get Sh*t Done

Our core values

  • Merchant-first: we handle the logistics so our merchants can focus on growing their business
  • People make ShipMonk: we believe in our team and invest in our people
  • Own it: we take ownership of our work, our mistakes, and our wins
  • Get sh*t done: we value action and results
  • Change the score: we challenge the status quo and keep improving
