Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Location: Shelton, CT (Onsite)
Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our clients growing sales team in Shelton, CT. As the first point of contact for prospective customers, you will play a key role in generating new business opportunities by identifying, engaging, and qualifying leads for our Account Executives.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about sales, technology, and building a successful career in the SaaS/EHR industry.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Prospecting

Identify and research prospective customers through LinkedIn, CRM databases, ZoomInfo, and other prospecting tools.

Conduct high-volume outbound outreach through cold calling, email campaigns, and social selling.

Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified leads.

Accurately update prospect and activity information within the CRM.

Lead Qualification

Understand customer business needs and identify opportunities for our SaaS/EHR solutions.

Engage decision-makers using a consultative sales approach.

Qualify leads and schedule meetings for Account Executives.

Collaboration

Partner with Marketing to follow up on inbound leads and nurture prospects.

Work closely with Account Executives to ensure seamless lead handoffs and support the sales cycle.

Reporting & Performance

Track daily outreach activities and maintain KPI metrics.

Report lead conversion performance and provide market feedback.

Contribute ideas to improve outreach strategies and lead quality.

Required Qualifications

1+ years of experience in Sales Development, Business Development, Inside Sales, or a customer-facing sales role.

SaaS sales experience is highly preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong prospecting, cold calling, and lead qualification abilities.

Comfortable handling objections and maintaining a positive attitude.

Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot.

Experience with sales engagement and prospecting tools such as Outreach, SalesLoft, and ZoomInfo.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Self-motivated with a desire to exceed sales targets.
