Job description

We are looking for a result-driven retail Sales Associate to be responsible for all sales job duties, from generating leads to closing sales. Sales Associate duties and responsibilities include working closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about our products and recommend the right solutions. You should be able to promptly resolve customer complaints and ensure maximum client satisfaction. To be successful as a Sales associate, you should stay up-to-date with product features and maintain our store’s visual appearance in high standards. Ultimately, the duties of a sales associate are to achieve excellent customer service, while consistently meeting the store’s sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Provides customer service by answering questions and helping customers select a vehicle that fits their needs

  • Maintains a prospect development system by following up with active prospects using the Dealership’s Customer Relationship Management System (CRM)

  • Follows up with previous customers for referrals and future sales

  • Attends all staff meetings, training, and educational classes as required

  • Works harmoniously with co-workers and supervisors and demonstrates professionalism towards customers, co-workers, and the public at large

  • Demonstrates adherence to Company procedures

  • Maintains an acceptable attendance record

  • Works without constant supervision

  • Reports to the Sales Manager or General Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analyses

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Customer orientated attitude

  • Valid in-state driver’s license with acceptable driving record according to dealership guidelines

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff

  • Excellent telephone skills and etiquette

  • Excellent computer skills sufficient to use Dealership CRM and email software

  • Highly organized and self-motivated

  • Able to work a flexible schedule and varying hours, which will include morning, evening, weekend, and holiday work

  • Able to sit and view a computer screen for long periods, stand and walk for short distances on hard surfaces, carry/lift up to 50 pounds, bend and twist to enter/exit vehicles, reach above shoulder height, and change positions frequently

  • Able to hear and speak with others in person and by telephone
