Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is in the midst of a multi-phase resort transformation, including all new venues, refreshed spaces, and evolving service models. Restaurant, Bar & Guest Services teams will be working in newly renovated spaces, with updated layouts, technology, and guest flow.

Job Description

We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, as our new Adventure Center Associate. As an Adventure Centre Associate, you will ensure guests feel welcomed, valued, and inspired to explore. Act as a brand ambassador who elevates every interaction through genuine engagement and anticipatory service. 

What you will be doing:    

Reporting to the Recreation Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:   

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service  
  • Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards  
  • Deliver intuitive, refined, and personalized service consistent with Forbes-level standards 
  • Serve as a knowledgeable ambassador of resort activities, local history, and the natural environment 
  • Curate and lead engaging outdoor experiences including interpretive history tours, nature walks, guided hikes, bike excursions, and boat tours 
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the adventure center, retail store (Embark) and the winter activities center (seasonal), following daily checklists 
  • Ensure clear and detailed information bout Jasper, the destination, all available activities are shared with guests and visitors.  
  • Assist with resort activities and special events as required 
  • Familiarize guests and colleagues with Recreation facilities and programming 
  • Conduct guided tours and assist with group requests.  
  • Process transactions efficiently 
  • Adhere to hotel vehicle handling and safety policies when operating hotel or guest vehicles 
  • Act as first responder for any incidents and accidents while on duty  
  • Embrace the Fairmont brand promise and luxury in your role and in all your interactions.  
  • Foster an inclusive environment where every individual feels valued and respected  
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:  

  • Experience with outdoor activities such as kayaking, canoeing, biking, and hiking required 
  • Retail experience considered required 
  • Comprehensive background check required 
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification required 
  • Pleasure Craft Operator Card required 
  • Pro Serve certification required 
  • Strong sales abilities is an asset  
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills 
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities 
  • Highly responsible and reliable 
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to work cohesively within a team with minimal supervision
