Position Summary: 

The Account Sales Manager (ASM) maintains and expands sales revenue relationships with strategic customers assigned. 

The ASM is responsible for generating new business by obtaining new design placements or new product placements by working directly with customers. 

The ASM will work closely with the design and production teams to secure on-time design placements and to meet new SKU production requirements. Assist the design staff in the identifying, gathering, sorting, creating and presenting design concepts to the Recreational Industry

Provide creative input in the pursuit of Toppan’s brand image in the industry through collateral materials, trade shows and exhibits and face-to-face customer contacts.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Sales responsibilities

  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
  • Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.
  • Daily interaction with the designated CSR on order placements, inventory, pricing and production timelines.
  • Work towards meeting assigned expectations for profitability 
  • Develop strategic sales objectives that meet company plans.
  • Proactivity assesses, clarifies and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis. 
  • Assist in preparing design presentations with TIA’s designers
  • Conduct design presentations to customers regularly 
  • Frequent production, purchasing, sales and design meetings with customers 
  • Conduct ongoing competitive analysis (sales, design, strategy, pricing and product development)
  • Prepare weekly sales summary report on previous week activities and upcoming weekly visit to customers 
  • Process Return Authorization Forms on defected material 
  • Submit annual or when requested, Sales Projections to Management 
  • Work with the design staff in the assessment of market trends relative to the Recreational Industry.
  • Identify and monitor market analysis materials and sources to gather concept ideas for the team, such as magazines and periodicals, trade show events, websites and customer interviews.
  • Attend sales and design meetings as required to keep in tune with customers’ activity.
  • Take part in face-to-face customer interviews and presentations for the purpose of communicating selling propositions based upon market intelligence.
  • Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of the production capabilities within Toppan group and communicate with parent company design team.
  • Communicate directly with all three plants (McDonough, Tokyo and Morgantown) and design and production issues. 
  • Assist the design department in the upkeep of customer product line samples.

Education and/or Experience: 

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience and 5 years of Sales and/or Design marketing experience
