Job description

Customer Service Representative

MOCOM is a family-owned company specializing in customized material solutions and a leading compounder of thermoplastic polymers. We are committed to bringing high and consistent quality, and excellent customer service to our customers and consumers.

We are actively seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our growing organization.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Effectively and efficiently utilize SAP, CRM and Business Warehouse system.
  • Provide daily support to Area Sales, Business Development and Product Managers.
  • Receive and process customer inquiries and requests including but not limited to sales orders, price quotations, invoices, purchase orders, credit/debit memos, customer specific documents and on occasion, export documentation.
  • Order management including but not limited to managing inventory levels shipping documents, liability agreements, escalations, cancellations and postponements.
  • Customer care: handle incoming customer telephone calls, emails and keeping customers fully informed about matters that affect them.
  • Billing and credit note handling and creation of pro-forma invoices (where applicable, e.g. no in-house accounting).
  • Adhere to Quality Management System including initiating product/service/transport complaints via SAP ensuring relevant information is gathered and entered prior to QM handling; follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Liaise with Supply Chain Coordinators regarding freight, warehouse and shipment related issues.
  • Attend customer visits on or off site as required.
  • Participate in customer and supplier meetings as required.
  • Attendance at customer service seminars and events as needed.

What you need to succeed:

  • Three to five years of similar or related experience.
  • A two-year college degree; or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school; or, completion of specialized training courses; or job specific skills acquired through on-the-job training or apprenticeship program.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience is required in lieu of the stated education and experience requirements.
