Averill Hospitality is seeking a talented and dynamicindividual to join our team as a Sales Coordinator. In this role, you will playa vital part in driving the success of our hotel through your growing salesskills and attention to detail.ย 

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND POSITION PURPOSE:

Theย Sales & Event Coordinatorย is responsible for supporting and fulfilling the sales process, andย generating revenue by appropriately cultivating inboundย leads and reacting to opportunities to upsell while upholding brand standards.

A key role for every Averill Hospitality Team Member is to serve as an ambassador of the companyย and its properties, positively engaging owners, guests, and the community at every opportunity.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

Assist clients and sales managers in the timely fulfillment of contract terms for group andย individual corporate accounts:

  • Schedule and send client reminders and updates regarding room blocks andย payments due.
  • Monitor group inventory in RDP and manage the reduction and release of roomย blocks according to the individual contract and/or client needs.
  • Prepare billing and oversee room deposits and accounts receivable for groups.
  • Manage sales segments as assigned, including but not limited to:
  • Social groups such as family reunions, birthday parties, anniversaries, and similar:
  • Respond to inquiries, perform in-person and virtual site tours, prepare proposals andย contracts, oversee the fulfillment of contract terms, communicate client needs andย collaborate with operations teams.
  • Respond to incoming leads or pass to appropriate sales manager.
  • Assist in covering the duties of Sales Managers as needed (for example when SMs are OOOย or traveling) by performing site tours, preparing proposals and contracts, and answeringย client inquiries.
  • Manage special projects as required by the Assistant Director of Sales.
  • The Sales & Event Admin role functions within the Sales team of the company specifically, inย addition to having a high degree of interaction with leadership and staff within the Hotelย team generally, and acts as a liaison between Sales, Reservations, and Front Desk Agents.
  • As with all team members, the Sales & Event Admin is responsible for modeling our coreย values and charges, contributing to the fulfillment of business objectives across theย business unit, and collaborating with others in the fulfillment of our shared mission.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

In addition to the performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be determined by the Department Director(s) based upon the requirements of the company.

This position is required to perform other and additional duties assigned.
