Kitchen Staff
Join us in the kitchen as we launch our newest breakfast location!
We are looking for passionate and experienced kitchen staff - including cooks, prep cooks, and line staff - to join our team at Sunnyside Social. You will be preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast dishes for our guests to enjoy each morning.
You are passionate about creating exceptional dining experiences through good, quality food. With previous experience in a kitchen setting, you are able to manage multiple priorities and contribute to a friendly and productive team atmosphere. Ideally, you have your ServSafe or Food Handler's certification.
Responsibilities
โ€ข Inspect and clean food preparation areas, equipment, work surfaces, and serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
โ€ข Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock
โ€ข Store and cook food at correct temperatures by regulating ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
โ€ข Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience
โ€ข Turn or stir foods to ensure even cooking
โ€ข Support all kitchen roles as needed, including prep, line, and dish - we are a team!
โ€ข Respond to guest feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalism
Qualifications
โ€ข Previous experience in a restaurant kitchen preferred (cook, prep cook, line cook, or similar)
โ€ข ServSafe or Food Handler's certification (or must be willing to attain)
โ€ข Effective communication skills and a collaborative attitude
โ€ข Ability to lift 30+ lbs
โ€ข Ability to work standing for 8+ hours
โ€ข Enthusiasm for breakfast food and a positive energy to match our Sunnyside vibe!
