Job description

Philipsburg Journal is seeking a full-time Advertising Sales Manager to lead the marketing and sales initiatives in helping local businesses to reach a high level of success through effective, creative print and digital marketing and advertising campaigns.

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Oversee, develop, manage, and sell the marketing and advertising programs offered by our marketing partners (Frequence Digital Marketing, Google, Meta, Second Street, Recruitology and Wehaa)
  • Develop new marketing and advertising promotions, both print and digital, to increase sales and attract new advertisers
  • Recommend changes and improvements to current marketing and advertising promotions
  • Manage an assigned territory with established accounts to sell Google and Meta digital advertising campaigns, newspaper ads, digital ads, special advertising promotions, new publications, and recruitment packages
  • Assist the Philipsburg Journal publisher with achieving the company’s marketing and sales goals to ensure continued growth and success

The position requires a highly motivated individual with strong marketing, sales, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. A degree in marketing or a minimum of 3 years sales experience is preferred.

A competitive compensation plan is offered which includes a salary, sales commission, bonuses, holiday pay, and travel reimbursement. Compensation is dependent on experience. The benefits package includes medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and paid time off. Hours are flexible. No weekends. 40-45 hours per week.
