This is an exciting opportunity to join a laboratory in an active stand-up phase with existing CLIA and COLA accreditation, modern instrumentation, and strong technical leadership already in place.

The laboratory’s near-term focus includes chemistry-based HEDIS testing including HbA1c, renal function testing, and urine chemistry assays, with future expansion potential into molecular diagnostics and PCR services.

Position Overview

The General Supervisor will oversee day-to-day clinical chemistry operations and testing personnel while supporting instrument implementation, assay validation, SOP updates, quality initiatives, and compliance activities. This individual will work closely with laboratory leadership and technical consultants during the laboratory stand-up and growth phase.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations within the Clinical Chemistry laboratory

  • Troubleshoot instrumentation and workflow issues within the laboratory
  • Collaborate with laboratory leadership during operational scaling and workflow optimization
  • Support inspection readiness and ongoing regulatory compliance initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related scientific field
  • MLS(ASCP), MT(ASCP), or equivalent certification preferred
  • 4+ years of clinical laboratory experience in a high complexity laboratory environment

  • Experience with assay validation, SOP development, and quality systems highly preferred
  • Knowledge of CLIA, COLA, CAP, and CMS laboratory regulations
  • Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated salary range: $90,000 – $115,000 annually
