Job description

Design the grid and your future! As a Design Engineer I at ENTRUST Solutions Group, you’ll work on real electric utility projects, learn from experienced mentors, and grow your career in a supportive team environment. You’ll help design overhead and underground power distribution projects that support grid improvements and utility upgrades.

What You’ll Do:

  • The objective of this role is to scope, design and develop electrical service systems for new customers.
  • You will be responsible for customer interaction, scoping and cost estimation.
  • You will be responsible for providing a design package that meets customer needs.
  • You will often meet with the customer and construction crews on site to review the scope of our design and discuss project execution.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university

  • 0–1 years of relevant work experience in consulting or a related field

  • Knowledge of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) or GIS design is a plus

  • Strong work ethic with a desire to work in a production environment

  • Ability to work in a hybrid capacity, including up to 20% local fielding responsibilities to support project and client needs
