Job description

We are seeking experienced Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Technicians to support our growing team. The ideal candidates will assist in the identification, mapping, and documentation of underground utilities for various civil engineering projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct field investigations to locate and map existing underground utilities using various techniques (e.g., ground-penetrating radar, vacuum excavation)
- Prepare accurate documentation and reports of subsurface utility conditions
- Assist in maintaining and updating utility databases and GIS mapping systems
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during field operations
- Assist with field investigations by using electromagnetic and geophysical equipment to detect and map subsurface utilities
SUE Technician Job Requirements:
- 2 to 5 years of experience as a SUE Tech or utility locator survey company or engineering firm
- Knowledge and experience with utility systems, GPR equipment, radio frequency locators, vacuum excavation equipment
- Ability to work outdoors for long periods of time
